Well, commuters will not want to hear this.
If you use the Lincoln Tunnel to get to the city,
you're going to want to leave some extra time.
They don't want to hear that.
They don't want to see this.
Construction starts today on the Midtown Bus Terminal replacement.

If they don't want to relive the traffic issue,
do not look at my social media pages.
Don't even bother, because it's ugly when it comes to this traffic.
Over in the city, they're replacing the Midtown Bus Terminal.
That's starting today.
It'll take a few years.
Eventually, we're told it will make things better.
In the meantime, Port Authority is altering
the routes buses usually use to access terminal ramps.
But it's clearly impacting those approaching
the Lincoln Tunnel from the Jersey side.
Just take a look at some Drone 12 video
and you'll clearly see just how much traffic is backed up this morning.
Now, that's here on our side.
Once you get to the New York side, traffic will be impacted on 39th
and 40th streets, as well as 9th and 10th avenues.
Like I said, once completed, the new terminal
is expected to create faster and more reliable commutes.
It's an $11 billion project that will be completed in about 2035,
so that's a few years down the road.
We'll keep you posted on the progress.
In the meantime, we'll keep you posted
on the traffic backups approaching the tunnel as well.
