Joining me from the Fox stand is Charmin. Charmin, I've never gotten
a chance to talk to you IRL on TV, so how fun is this?
You were at a pretty wild event, a very Seattle event last night.
Tell me what you were up to and the kind of impact it had.
Hey, AJ. Yeah, so last night I stopped by The Wash
in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Great bar. They were having a contest,
and it was Seattle's worst beat producer.
And there were just about two dozen DJs
and producers in Seattle who submitted their worst sample,
and they crowned a winner after different stages of DJs.
And everyone just had to cheer who their favorites were,
and booing was encouraged.
so we heard a lot of boos but whoever had the loudest cheer
or boo um ended up winning and
you know it was a fun night i laughed so much
because some of these producers and djs actually
are really good so you don't know if you
were cheering for the worst or you're cheering for
the best but absolute best time um and it was the first annual event
and um a local producer
named Meju, um he was the one that hosted the event
and you see him here in the crowd
he you know threw this event together
and it ended up being a great event and a lot of people showed
up and everyone was just having a fun time
and the vibes were good and charming you are wearing
a lot of hats because you also i believe shot this video too
and i don't know if you noticed
but they had your name up earlier
and they had you as dj so there it is dj flow jams uh
Charmaine herself is also a mixer,
so she knows kind of what's good and not good.
This is such a Seattle event, though, Charmaine.
This is the kind of thing that you see so often here.
So Seattle.
Are they doing any other ones coming up?
This is the winner right here, right, this young lady?
Yes, she won.
She did an absolute great job.
She was good, and so we didn't know, like,
oh, are we cheering for the best producer?
You know, and some of these samples that we listened to last night
definitely could, you know, go viral on TikTok or Instagram.
You know, I didn't know.
I was more cheering because I don't really like to boo that much,
but booing was encouraged.
That's a brutal way to boo.
Exactly.
So they plan on having the next event will be next spring.
So I might have to enter, but who knows?
I've got plenty of time.
Awesome.
So, Sharmin, thank you so much for showing us a cool part of Seattle.
