Oma’s Family Farm in Lakeside was established in 1960 as a dairy farm by immigrants from Holland and drew classes of school children from all over San Diego county for their field trips. In 2000 they started a pumpkin patch and 10 years later a Christmas Tree event. The setting among the hills is quite spectacular with the blue sky and big white clouds. I had fun watching the kids pet the goats and pick out their Halloween pumpkins.
