FGI Night of Stars 2026: Christian Siriano, Vera Wang, Fern Mallis & Fashion Icons on “The Modernist”

This is the fashion group International Scala. What does modernist theme mean this time? Oh, the modernists represent those who think to the future, who have new ideas or visionaries. What does modernist mean to you? Sometimes fashion we get very stuck in our ways and very stuffy and very one one way, and it has to be that way. You have to kind of broaden your idea a bit. That's what I think about. What rule have I broken? Yes. I don't break rules. No. Modernist is all about. I like that one. What rule have you broken? Modernist is all about making your own rules, following your own lead. I didn't. I didn't wear a shirt tie tonight. I wore a turtleneck. Modernism and modernist means to us always moving forward. Yeah. And I feel particularly honored to receive this award because, as many years as we've been in this business in fashion and beauty, we always need to push and move forward and go to the next ring and next and the next to always do better. And so I love the name of the award. It means a lot to me. I'm so happy to be here tonight. Such a great event. My parents saw that fashion was a reflection of society at the moment you're living in, and this is a very important moment. What change do you want right now, sir? I want our country and humanity to be united. You're the fashion group International Rising Star winner. It absolutely means the world. It's incredible to be recognized like at such an early stage of my career. Yeah, I mean, it's just it really means the world. It means everything.
