CNN just admitted that the Ilhan Omar
investigation started under Joe Biden,
not Trump. Biden, guys. Trump's Justice
Department just found it in the unfinished
business drawer. And Jake Tapper's face when it hit him?
Priceless, guys. This is a man who
checked the teleprompter
and realized that the teleprompter switched sides. A few days ago,
his panel called this probe racist, xenophobic,
vindictive, a witch hunt, the whole buffet,
guys. So now Jake Tapper's asking,
with a straight face, why the congresswoman from
Minnesota didn't just stroll into the Biden Justice Department
and say, my bad, and pay a
fine. A fine, like a late library book. 26 years late.
Since when does the suspect pick her own
punishment? Officer, I'll just go ahead and take a warning.
Thank you very much. It gets even better
than that. Department of Homeland Security agents
raided Ilhan Omar's home in Washington, D.C.
A lot of rumors are saying she got tipped off.
They walked out carrying boxes. They reportedly
took her phone, her computers, her passport.
This was a bold move for a witch hunt. At least a dozen
subpoenas reportedly went to her inner circle, including her family.
Family reunion, federal
addition, exactly. So then, of course, there's Janine Pirro.
The U.S. attorney for D.C. just
opened a second investigation into Ilhan Omar's money.
Her disclosure form first listed about
$30 million. But then somehow, miraculously,
it shrunk to under $125,000. Her explanation
has a little paperwork error,
maybe carried a couple of commas to the wrong direction.
Yeah, $30 million typo, guys.
Now, most of us, we couldn't lose $30 million if we tried.
Oh, and her entire citizenship, it hangs on one man, her father.
A 2023 review under Joe Biden
reportedly found no record he was ever naturalized.
Oops. So where is Ilhan Omar? Reportedly,
nobody's seen her in public in over three weeks.
Reports are saying that she's vanished. She's
hiding. She may have fleed out of the country
in the middle of a reelection campaign. Now,
we don't have verified accounts of her whereabouts.
No one has. Whatever it is,
this is clearly a bold strategy.
This is the same woman who has said that no one is above
the law when Donald Trump was in the hot seat,
turns out that rule came back with a return
policy. Well, today you get what CNN could not say out loud,
the receipts, the timeline,
and the question nobody in Congress ever asked.
Now, if you're new here, go ahead and subscribe,
guys. It's totally free,
which is more than we can say for that $30 million typo. And if you
enjoyed the show, just leave a like on the way out.
Jake Tapper probably won't do that.
So picture the CNN studio, bright lights,
glossy desk, Jake Tapper in a really good suit. A few
days ago, Jake and his panel were very sure about
this Ilhan Omar investigation. Racist,
xenophobic, vindictive, a witch hunt,
all delivered with that very serious frown,
CNN looking face, you know,
the one that they say for hurricanes and Republicans.
Right. Most federal crimes in the immigration area will have
a maximum of a five-year statute
of limitations. We're obviously well beyond that from 2000.
So there could be a couple
possibilities. One, some offenses say
that if a person gets into the country or gets status
by making false statements and then remains in the country,
that will extend, the person
remaining in the country will extend the statute of limitations.
Two, it could be that more recent
paperwork was submitted, perhaps a reapplication or renewal.
Three, if prosecutors have evidence
that within the last five years,
there's been some evidence of obstruction, some effort to
get stories straight, to destroy documents,
to persuade potential witnesses to say a certain
thing, then those obstruction charges,
if they happened within the last five years,
would also be within the statute of limitations.
Now, if we fast forward, same set, same desk,
same suit. Now Jake leans in, eyebrows up,
and he asks loud on television whether the Congresswoman
from Minnesota should have come clean.
This has happened and there was a mistake and I'd like to
come clean and pay whatever fine
and then that way this you know not left up to the Trump Justice
Department is that I mean has that occurred to you
or it's a really tricky dilemma that any subject
of this type of investigation might have
and indeed she might have fared better under the
Biden administration but look it's an important point
of all this there was some investigation
as I think Evan just said that was started under
the Biden administration reopened under the Trump
administration. Come clean? About what, Jake?
I thought it was a witch hunt. Nobody comes clean
about a witch hunt. You come clean about something you did.
So what changed? Well, not the facts. The
facts were sitting there the whole time.
The evidence just started piling up and even CNN
couldn't step over the pile anymore. Now watch his face.
This is a man reading the teleprompter
and realizing the teleprompter switched teams.
It took Jake Tapper, I don't know, a few days to
figure out this story was real.
And he has a teleprompter, a research team, and a makeup
artist. You don't have time to wait for CNN to catch up, guys.
This is why I put together the
Ron Yates Report newsletter. It's totally free.
So when stories like this break, the ones that
decide who writes the law, who spends your next tax dollars,
and who's on your ballot next November
3rd, you get it straight.
No spin cycle, no three-day delay, no awkward face. I'll leave a
link for you in the description down below.
So here's what Jake actually floated.
It could be that more recent paperwork was submitted,
perhaps a reapplication or renewal.
Could be somebody relating to Representative Omar, somebody around her.
And then three, if prosecutors have evidence that within
the last five years, there's been some evidence of obstruction.
Just quickly, if this is true, would it not have been wiser
for the congresswoman to have gone to the Biden Justice Department
and said this has happened and there was a mistake?
and I'd like to come clean and pay whatever fine.
And then that way, this, you know,
not left up to the Trump Justice Department.
Is that, I mean, has that occurred to you?
It's a really tricky dilemma that any subject
of this type of investigation might have.
And indeed, she might have fared better under the Biden administration.
But look, it's an important point of all this.
There was some investigation, as I think Evan just said,
that was started under the Biden administration,
reopened under the Trump administration.
So I think that's gonna undermine any argument
she may have down the line
that this is politically selective and vindictive.
But again, then again,
Donald Trump has given her plenty of ammo
to argue that she's being singled out for personal reasons.
So that's a battle yet to come.
Omar should have walked into the Biden Justice Department,
admitted that there was a mistake,
paid whatever fine,
and just kept the whole thing away
from the Trump Justice Department.
Now let that sink in, right?
The suspect picks the department,
picks the timing,
and then picks the punishment.
Try that at a traffic stop.
Well, officer, before you write that ticket,
I would like to self-report to your nicer co-worker
and choose my own fine. Yeah,
let me see how that works out for you guys.
But here's what CNN skipped.
Coming clean was never really an option.
Admitting the citizenship story was false.
This would mean admitting that she may never have even
been eligible to sit in Congress at all.
So there's no fine for that. There's no coupon.
There's no oops, my bad form at the front desk.
And notice what Jake Tapper admitted by accident.
She'd have done better under Biden. Same law,
different administration, softer landing.
You see what he accidentally admitted there?
This is not a conspiracy theory, folks.
This is clearly a two-tier justice system
explained live on CNN.
Now, here's the part CNN really didn't want trending.
This investigation didn't start with Donald Trump.
It started under Joe Biden. The Trump
Justice Department, they just kind of picked the file back up.
Even CNN's own guest admitted that
hurts the politically vindictive story.
It's kind of hard to call it a Trump revenge plot when
Biden's people opened the folder.
Now, to be fair, critics point to J.D. Vance reportedly
asking Stephen Miller what could be done about Ilhan Omar.
Ilhan Omar, the president and the
White House have been out saying that she married her brother,
that there is immigration fraud going
on here. These are deportable denaturalization offenses.
Can you give us an update on that?
Yeah. So we actually think that Ilhan Omar definitely committed
immigration fraud against the United States of America.
And I talked to Stephen Miller about this actually recently.
We're trying to look at what the remedies are.
That's the thing that we're trying to figure out is what are the legal
remedies now that we know that she's committed immigration fraud?
how do you go after her? How do you investigate her?
How do you actually do the thing? How do
you build the case necessary to get some justice
for the American people? There's a related issue,
Benny, which is she has been at the center
of a lot of the worst fraudsters in the Somalian
community. So do I know that Ilhan Omar was aware
that the Quality Learning Center was defrauding
the American people? I'm not certain of it,
but we at least need to investigate it because if
people can commit wrongdoing without even
the fear that they're going to be found out,
that's a fundamental problem.
So I'm worried about the immigration fraud. I'm also worried
about what did Ilhan Omar know about what
was happening in the Somali community and why was
nobody looking into it? That is their best card.
But think about it. If Joe Biden's own team
thought something smelled funny,
maybe something smelled a little funny. Now, I don't know if it
was Funyuns or feet or underarms or breath.
But for years, anyone who asked questions about her
family's story, they got called a bigot.
Turns out, well, they were just a little early. And
early is just right before CNN catches up.
Now, quick favor, guys. You know someone who swears
this is just a Trump witch hunt, right?
Go ahead and send them this video. Don't argue with them.
Don't explain. Just send it
and let them find out that it actually started under Joe Biden.
And then wait for the text back. Yeah.
Now, let's go ahead and make this so simple that
a fifth grader could explain it at dinner.
Picture this, right? It's the year 2000,
government office, horrible fluorescent lights buzzing,
just annoying sound. A stack of forms
on the counter. One little box asks for a date of birth.
Now, according to the allegation,
Ilhan Omar was 18, maybe 19 years old, but the paperwork said 17.
One year, who cares, right?
Well, apparently the law cares. Here's why.
A kid could become a citizen through her father.
An adult could not. 17 gets you in the door.
18 gets you a whole lot longer line.
So one tiny little number
on one tiny little form may have opened the door for everything
after that. Citizenship, elections,
a seat in Congress, representing Minnesota,
possible deportation actions.
Most people fudge their age to look younger on a dating app.
This allegation, this is about a number
that may have landed somebody in the United States
Congress. Slightly bigger prize than the second date.
Oh, and the whole thing runs through one
man. Her father. Old daddy. Yeah, her old man.
Now, meet the most important man in this story,
her father, Nur Omar Mohammed.
Her citizenship works like a hand-me-down jacket. It only fits
if two things are true. One, dad was legally naturalized.
Two, she was still a minor when
he was. Now, if you pull either of these threads,
the whole jacket falls apart,
and investigators are tugging at both.
So they're reportedly checking whether her father lied about
his military background when he applied for legal status.
Back in 2023, under the Biden
administration, a Department
of Homeland Security review reportedly found no record of him ever
being naturalized. There's no record? None?
Yeah, that's a little interesting. Well,
Joe Biden's own DHS couldn't find it.
Then again, they couldn't find the border either,
so maybe it's not saying a whole lot.
So I'll give him that. Picture a house of cards.
a seat in Congress sitting at the very top,
and the card holding up the whole thing at the very
bottom? That's paperwork. Paperwork that reportedly nobody can find.
Now, most of us lose our car
keys. I don't know about you,
but this is clearly a slightly bigger missing item.
So here's a question that should keep every
American up tonight. Did anybody even check?
The Constitution has a pretty simple rule.
To serve in the House of Representatives,
you have to be a U.S. citizen for at least seven years.
It's a simple rule. It's a big rule,
though. So who checks it? Surely there's an agency,
a background check, a guy with a clipboard and a
lanyard. No, there's no formal background check
when somebody wins a House seat. The House judges
its own members. Let that marinate, guys.
Congress checks Congress. The fox does the henhouse
inspection. Now picture it.
Election night, balloons drop, somebody wins in Minnesota,
flies to Washington, walks into the Capitol,
raises a hand, takes the oath, and nobody asks
for the paperwork. You need more ID to rent
a carpet cleaner at the hardware store. So
if these allegations actually hold up,
Ilhan Omar may have spent years writing America's laws
without ever even being eligible to be there.
Oh, and the system built to catch it? The honor
system. Yeah. Now it gets a little weird, right?
According to the New York Post, after Ilhan Omar
was elected to Congress,
her staff got her birth date officially changed.
Now, most people celebrate
their birthday. Her office apparently relocated it.
Picture this, right? A Capitol Hill office,
coffee cups, ringing phones,
and somewhere on her desk, a form that basically says,
please update our boss's birthday. Thanks.
Meanwhile, you can't get the DMV to fix a
typo on your middle name. Who does that?
Who wakes up years after getting elected and thinks,
you know what needs fixing? The year I was born.
Here's why investigators care. When a story is
under a microscope and suddenly the paperwork gets corrected.
This is not a cake and candles
moment. This is more like who filed this and why kind of moment.
Who filled out that form? Who
signed off? Who knew? Anybody
who helped change official records could be answering some very
uncomfortable questions of their own.
Happy birthday, Congresswoman, whatever that happened
to be. Even the cake is confused.
Ilhan Omar's defenders, they have one big argument. That was
26 years ago. That's their whole argument.
Oh, and they're not totally wrong about the clock.
Most federal immigration crimes come
with a five-year time limit. This is called the
statute of limitations, basically an expiration date,
kind of like milk. So case closed? Well,
not so fast. Because CNN's own legal analyst
on Jake Tapper's own show laid out three ways that
milk still might possibly technically be fresh.
Door number one, if somebody got status through
false statements and then stayed in the country,
that can stretch the deadline. She didn't just
stay, she got a parking spot at the Capitol.
Door number two, newer paperwork, a recent renewal or
filing by her or someone close to her could restart the clock.
Door number three, obstruction,
getting stories straight, destroying documents, coaching witnesses.
If that happens or happened
in the last five years, this is a brand new charge
with a brand new clock. Now, remember that whole
birthday that moved?
Yeah, CNN basically just handed prosecutors a roadmap. Appreciate you.
Good looking out, Jake Tapper.
So October 12th, Washington, D.C., picture a quiet street,
then car doors and badges, a federal warrant.
Department of Homeland Security agents
kicked the doors into Ilhan Omar's home.
A little bit later, they walked back out carrying boxes,
lots of boxes, whole lot of boxes.
Did I mention that they were carrying boxes?
Homeland Security agents raided the home
of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar this morning. Now,
this is the scene outside the home in the D.C. area.
DHS says the raid is, quote,
part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation.
And sources familiar with the matter tell CBS News
the investigation centers on Omar's immigration paperwork
that her late father filled out when
she was a child. According to the Wall Street Journal,
they reportedly took her phone,
they took her computers, and they took Ilhan Omar's passport,
allegedly, according to the
Wall Street Journal. Her passport,
that's kind of an important item when everybody's asking,
where are you? And the goal, according to the reports,
a case to strip her citizenship and
ultimately deport her. But wait, there's more.
If you order right now, we'll go ahead and throw
in this free vacuum cleaner. I'm kidding.
At least a dozen subpoenas reportedly went out to Ilhan
Omar's inner circle, including her family.
Envelopes landing on doorsteps all across
the family tree. Her sister was reportedly on the list as well.
One problem, a source says
investigators can't find her either.
This is really getting interesting. We can't find none
of these people. Family reunion, federal addition, RSVP mandatory.
And remember guys, a judge signed
that warrant. Judges don't sign off on raiding
a sitting member of Congress over a typo. It's
clearly bigger than that. It's a funny thing about
these witch hunts. They don't usually come
with warrants. Now let's go ahead and follow the money
because there is a second federal
investigation. Janine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for Washington,
D.C., confirmed her office is
looking into Ilhan Omar's finances on her financial disclosure form.
Signed by a federal judge.
So you've got the executive branch through HSI going to a federal
judge who is cognizant of the Fourth Amendment rights of any target
who said you have the right
to search this person's house.
Based upon that execution of that warrant, we will see what comes
of it but i think the administration probable cause there
was no question that that judge would
not have signed that warrant unless there was probable cause
and probably more than that given
the individual who's involved
and given the fact that we're in the nation's capital with judges in
the nation's capital but more than that it is upon
the execution of the warrant that we will see
are we dealing with civil uh immigration issues
because they've made it clear this is about
immigration for the warrant itself are we dealing
with criminal immigration issues you know there
are several investigations going
on and i don't think there's any question but if there's a crime
that was committed it will be prosecuted
so what about these financials disclosure this disclosure
she was given a pass by the house ethics
but somehow 30 million, 30 million dollars magically
appeared then it magically disappeared well i can tell you
that is subject of an investigation as
well. And it doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter what the house does. It doesn't matter what this
agency or that does. We're looking at the facts based upon the facts.
We'll follow them wherever
they take us. Ilhan Omar first listed her personal assets
at around $30 million. Then she revised it
down to under $125,000. Her explanation,
a little paperwork error, one slip of the finger and poof,
29.9 million dollars suddenly vanishes
this is not a typo guys this is more like a magic trick
so now remember donald trump prosecuted
and convicted in new york over business records
records guys this was supposedly
a crime against democracy remember donald trump allegedly like
overvalued some of his real estate holdings
or something like that ilhan omar's 30 million
dollar swing that's an oopsie
but there was all up in trump's stuff over the same thing but a way
smaller, oopsie, come on guys,
two-tier justice folks gift-wrapped with a bow. And President
Trump says that her net worth deserves a closer look.
Benny Johnson has been posting about her
liquor businesses. So what exactly is Pirro looking
for in those numbers? We don't know yet,
but nobody opens a second federal investigation just for fun.
Now, let's go ahead and roll through
the receipt, shall we? Because Ilhan Omar has,
she's said some things. When Donald Trump was
indicted, Ilhan Omar was right there on TV.
No one is above the law, she said. Justice,
accountability, very serious face.
She even practically dared investigators,
please investigate what you want.
Well, they took her up on that. When USAID got shut down,
she called it a constitutional crisis,
the beginning of a dictatorship, a dictatorship,
folks, over foreign aid.
So what happens when federal agents show up at her door with a judge's
warrant? Democrats are saying the raid was all about politics.
However, the feds searched
President Trump's home, and it was a very different story.
This is America. No one is above the law.
No one is above the law.
No one is above the law.
The fact is, no one is above the law.
No one, not even the president, is above the law.
No one, no one is above the law.
I think the president and I largely try to stay out
of Department of Justice investigations and other prosecutions.
Now, I do know that there are some
serious allegations against Ilhan Omar.
We're going to look into those.
All of a sudden, it's a ludicrous, partisan investigation.
An abuse of power. And of
course, she's fundraising off of it. Send money now.
Help her fight back. Nothing says I have
nothing to hide, quite like a donation link.
The rule didn't change. No one is above the law.
This means exactly what it was meant to mean
when it was aimed at Donald Trump.
The only thing that has changed is the name
on the warrant. She wrote the rule.
Now she wants an exemption.
So where is Ilhan Omar? According to reports,
she hasn't made any public appearances in over three weeks.
Last seen, last known whereabouts
were September 22nd in the middle of a re-election campaign.
Three weeks before election day,
most candidates are around shaking every hand outside
of grocery stores in Minnesota,
kissing babies and whatnot. Ilhan Omar, she's not around.
Her husband, Tim Muneete, has reportedly
been seen near the property. She hasn't.
And so now rumors are flying around that she may have
left the country, fled the country, evaded, who knows.
Let's be very clear. This is unconfirmed.
We deal in receipts. And here are the receipts.
Her name is still on the Minnesota ballot,
November 3rd. Kicking someone out of Congress takes
a two-third vote of the House. And members
keep collecting a paycheck whether they show up or not.
It's kind of a pretty sweet gig.
She can not even bother showing up for work
and keep getting paid. Where do I apply?
It started under Biden. A judge signed the warrant.
Her family got subpoenaed. Her staff
moved her birthday. And well, CNN is asking why she didn't come clean.
So when even CNN can't
spin it, the story pretty much spins itself.
So folks, the questions were fair all along.
Now the answers are rolling in.
If this opened your eyes even a little bit, hit the like button
on the way out. Subscribe. When this case breaks,
you'll hear it here first. If a member of Congress
can lose $29.9 million on one form,
imagine what slips through in your bills when they vote on.
You know, the ones that hit your grocery bill,
your mortgage, your retirement. Nobody in Washington
checked the paperwork, so we will.
