Doug and I Annoying Each Other for an Hour Straight :) Episode 2

Good morning, been up for some time, kind of hanging out by the fire pit, not the actual fire. We caught a couple bass this morning, about ten. We haven't really done anything but just kind of sit, and that's been fun. So, I've got hung up. Oh, pisser! It's a good morning. It's the end of that one. It's the end of that one. Good morning. Oh, good morning. She's warm. Too hot. It's a little hot. Why'd you make it so hot? I don't know. Good morning. We're having, am I in frame? Good morning. It's been a nice morning. I've just been sitting around the fire pit. Didn't start the fire till now. It's after 10. We're gonna cook up some bacon and eggs Excuse me for breakfast So yeah, good night I slept all night only got once to pee which is abnormal for old Joe so real good night's sleep I caught a couple bass this morning just from shore, which is fun. It'll be a nice day I think I want to find some cliffs to jump off of I found a couple yesterday as I was paddling around maybe 10 15 feet up off the water not too crazy or anything but also I think we might do that yeah yeah go down there's a little portage bring just our canoes none of our camping gear whatever get down there fishing there today and just kind of explore, hang out, nice relaxing trip. Nice relaxing trip. The titanium is a little, always a hot, hot seal. Hot fry. Are you not done yet? I'm glad that we made the arrangement before I started cooking. I'll cook the bacon, you clean the pan after. Oh, that was, I don't recall that one. Hot! Can you maybe try to keep it off the lichen? That's good for you. Oh yeah, just put it right on top of the other one. Look at that bacon grease we got for eggs now. Ba-bam. That's for both of us, right? That's all the bacon? That's all the bacon. Okay, perfect. Are you eating it too? Yeah, we're both, oh, no. How do you like your eggs? Cooked. Exactly, that's all you're gonna get. That titanium one is gonna be a mix of scrambled, flipped, flicked eggs, because that's a thing. Flipped. You got, nevermind. Have you spoken to Mr. Scrambler lately? I talked to him not too long ago. I hope he's doing well. Oh, you're doing that today. Hey. You did that today. Yeah. You want more breezy? That's not what you're getting. Look at that. It's just a mixture of bacon grease and a puddle of egg. That is beautiful. I don't know if that will even cook on that heat, homie. It will. Don't you worry. I'm kind of worried. Look at those eggs. Oh, look at that. So pretty. I can't wait. You're so pretty. You're beautiful. You're gorgeous. So we just threw some spice in there. Some Joe Robinette blend. It's not sticking out of your nose. I'm not even joking. Disgusting animal. Did I get it? You got it now. Okay, good. But not only any, not just any old spice, this is Joe Robin ette blend for real, it's made in Quebec, it will be packaged soon, and I will be promoting it soon, it's good for steak, chicken, fish, spicy, sweet, salty, it's really good, put a lot on the eggs, so I'll give you a rundown, I've been using it at home, and I've been using the other Smoked Joe stuff, an aioli sauce, and also a smoked jalapeno hot sauce, which is super tasty, aioli! all right so we put the eggs back in the carton this is my plate for today multi-use plate for sure mmm spicy my turn nope thanks people always uh on your comments doug is such a jerk i never liked doug and then until i watched your videos and uh yeah i really like you now he's got to separate you from me then you're a nice guy that spice is good though it's too late spice is good I like the salt, salt is a key. Breakfast was good, we are headed out now to go fishing for the day, so I'm bringing my swimming stuff, my shoes, my shorts, my towel, some food, my water, my water filter I mean, and yeah, we're going for the day probably. Look, if I find some nice cliffs I am going to jump, I enjoy that. Here's your airplane. Yeah, my airplane coming to check on me once again. Doing all right. Yeah, you know instead of this old nonsense Get off my backpack, bro? lean back lean back lean back oh my don't dance we just pull up our pants and do the rock away canoes well up river do a long portage and just see what the river has to offer we've got our swim trunks snacks drinks drinks water filter and uh we're off for the day we should be good we see you there all right there everything's coming up Milhouse don't tap my boat bro that's right keep paddling oh man it's dripping so we're coming up to a spot that i camped last time just up there we're gonna head down farther see how far we can get today it's nice man really nice spot there's no uh no breeze at all i could deal i could deal with a little bit of a breeze i'm being honest but donkey of the day right ahead there's uh in front of us it looks like land it's actually just an old beaver dam that's the one that the bear ran across in my last video that when I was here falling falling falling falling a little black squirrel which I'd never see in the woods running to the end of a log that goes up to the water we're gonna see yeah we're gonna see what he's gonna do is he gonna swim he's taking a drink for sure little drinky poo Oh Oh diving board diving board he's going he's going man I hope a pike comes and grabs him that was a trip I thought for sure he was going what are you doing homie he's at the very end almost maybe a three feet two feet from the end he's a strange fella you wanna ride big guy look how he's walking hey super tall his belly wet that is funny oh squirrel boy he's looking yeah yeah i did that oh my goodness you see what he's doing now he's rubbing his belly he legit rubbed his belly on the rock i am so amazed by this black squirrel it's a windigo it's same here yeah me too yeah i've never seen a black one in the woods we walk past most of the portage put in halfway paddle this little chunk of it it's really pretty in here and we'll get to that little end right there where the rocks are i think that's basically just a liftover and then we're out but there's some decent rock in here might not even have to lift over oh yeah there's some can openers in here for sure oh you know what yeah it's just a little left over there's some high rocks but there's nothing oh maneuverability plus 10 experience oh might be able to paddle it might be able to skirt through oh boy yep nice and sleazy it's very pretty in here coming into the the gates very pretty yeah i think it is decent one i've been catching anyway oh yeah he's bigger than any of the other ones i caught the whole trip not saying much but big mouth billy bass for sure oh nice and easy hook release look at that beauty fish like catching bass very fun probably one of my favorite fish to fish for now where we were already doug's got one on too no sign of people and even after that little portage i guarantee there's gonna be less sign of people dougie's on the board in the new area she's hot over here man whoa spit it second cast second fish that was a decent one too threw for a loop it's hot over here on fifth cast fifth cast third fish he's a small guy there's our little baby bass little baby old bossy guy it's getting hot again the sun had gone behind a cloud it was very nice it was actually uh ideal but i'll take what i can get there is a lot more clouds today than there was yesterday so That's good. That's good. This is a fun way to fish, man, these murky worms I got it down now. I needed a little help from Doug last night, but I got it down fighting is small, but it felt decent Probably not the biggest It's almost like it's a large mouth bass. I've just been paddling, fishing, taking my time pulling away a bass every now and then now I'd like to go up and find a spot that Ken and I camped like seven or eight years ago. It's up here not too far now. I didn't come this far when I was by myself the last time. Not at all. It's fun to explore this place. It's Saturday. I haven't heard or seen of anyone, which is nice. It's 1:30. I like camping with people. I've been camping by myself too much. very fun having been here yes sir yes sir it's a big one pulling me into the weeds oh yeah pulling me right into the weeds dude this is a decent fish come on big fella in the weeds you know a big time man fish that's all right certainly my biggest fish of the trip no doubt that GoPro GoPro could fit in his mouth very cool we'll let him go and he's oh that was cool it's always fun to catch a big one these worms are awesome okay we're at this spot really nice spot and i believe that this is the spot that Ken and i stayed at about eight years ago seven eight years ago so we're gonna go up on up here and check it out i pulled up thinking it well it looked familiar i'm like if there's a beaver lodge on that side it's got to be there is one right there that doug's fishing at and i remember there being this little musky uh mosquito we part behind for sure which would have made it not an ideal place to camp but we were young and we were looking to fish and swim and looking for a flat spot oh yeah this is definitely okay yep yep do this old firewood right cut the saw boom for a bear one day and then our old fire pit here and it's a little depression we use that as a chair so used i think a food barrel for a chair yeah man very cool bring back memories this was our view pretty nice we had the canoe down there ken's got an iconic picture of it like that nice view down the river and i one of the very few times i did i hung in a hammock with a Hennessy hammock over in between these oaks there was blueberries all over the ground it was in june lots of mosquitoes these are all blueberries all these ground cover yeah i tied off from that tree to that tree i used some rocks to put out my uh tie outs the bungees what a cool spot man most of the places i go aren't very like unless i'm really near my house they don't have these oaks and maples and stuff it's nice to have the canoe with that type of tree usually it's all conifers right spruces pines here they have it all they have it all all right get back in the canoe do some fishing probably head back and not too long we're pretty far away from uh from our camp it's two o'clock it's a good day is that a gopro in your pocket danger doug's gonna climb up here with his new camera literally a sheer rock face he's climbing he's climbing no he's not climbing anymore nothing I've just got commentary don't worry I imagine he's just a dot up there now but he made it danger dog made it he's gonna throw me his gopro from up there can you make it across is it easy walking over to the ledge is it easy walking over that way this is nowhere to jump off if you look at the bottom it's all just sharp rock sun's been out uh been behind a cloud for some time now which is very nice very hey can you pass me your GoPro Yeah right oh gopro Hello GoPro you want me to throw it back up no reception in gopro session ha okay i couldn't let doug have all the fun i gotta climb this thing too no i already looked at that that's not a that's not a good jumping rock i'd jump from that high no problem but no i have at uh Alora Quarry i've jump from that high that's what i'm saying no we'd have to go down check out the water it's not happening not happening here we go yeah that's why i was scoping out down there and i didn't i didn't see myself coming up the way you came up i'm just too too short oh man made her up she's uh she's nice so we're high up my canoe the lily pad looks super cool from up here we are up here high man quite toasty up here though it's full sun on the rocks I'm gonna climb down get some water you want stick you want me to uh-huh almost down it's like an old rock slide here it's nice to know the rocks you're standing on our stable and it's not always the case right here rock slide areas did it we were back for some time it's kind of lounging went swimming already once dried off completely but uh she's a toasty one bud so it's time to jump in again i'm just gonna take a page out of doug's book and throw this gopro in the water it's coming you're precious oh oh you i'm telling you there was a spot over here yeah oh my goodness oh my gosh there are really cold spots there's no way this is spring fed but very cold spots well then it's definitely spring fed The sun's pretty relentless even behind this tarp here feels like you're inside a tent kind of thing So across the lake or across the river the shade sun is on that side So the trees are casting some shade Doug's already out there I think I'm gonna get dressed head out there got my fishing gear and Hang out in the shade in the boat and also get a fish for supper So guys I want to apologize if my videos have been kind of repetitive I understand, like, I want fish. I went out there and camped, but here I'm just fishing and camping anyways, canoeing. But that's how it is, right? Until it becomes the fall, this is what I'll be doing. I can't really go into the woods this time of year around my house, or even here. It's just so bug-filled, and this is a time for fishing, a time for canoeing around for me. As soon as September or October rolls around, especially if I'm in my new place, we're doing lots of bushcraft builds maybe some like uh more outdoor cooking stuff and i'll have if i am moved i'll have uh my own location where i can set up a bushcraft base camp a big old shelter and have a lot of fun out there bring the dog so i know it's getting to be the end of the the camping canoe camping season so it's getting a bit old and that's how it is i change with the seasons right guys i've been doing that for like 10 years just in the winter it's winter stuff spring spring stuff summer starts to get into the camping fall is my favorite i think you guys like the falls as much as i do at least that's what it seems by the view counts on the videos i've been putting videos out pretty regularly again and their just views are garbage and i know it's because the summer it's how it was last year too when i went to visit kyle in california had thumbnails of legit mountains and kyle in them and doing different stuff and still it's It's just a dead time year for the outdoor people as it should be right That's what you get for playing around oh, I got him still I thought I messed up now I messed up we are looking for supper now, so I don't want to mess around too much But turn on that silly camera Fishing is getting hot again died out for a couple hours in the daytime there these wacky worms are just so fun Have I said that how much I enjoy fishing with these wacky worms You can really see the water line on the rock, eh? The water's low, but it's summer, so that makes sense. It's been a dry summer, too. There's a little pocket in the lily pads over here I have some luck at. They're just nibbling. They're not committing at all. I don't know if it's a small guy, a little crappie or something. The lily pads now, though. Give me a bass. That was a good cast. Good cast, good bass. Well, it's a good thing Doug's here. Slaying them all day, and I can't catch anything to save my life right now. Now, Doug was having, he said he was having, right, but he was able to grab a couple anyways, so I'm going to get some firewood and, uh, stir up a fire and cut up my potatoes, onions, garlic, and all that fun stuff. I got the garlic, bud. Check out the sky, eh? How dramatic that, over there, I'll show you, there's some sun peeking through, it looks even cooler. A little sun poking through. Going for a quick fire again, my fat wood set, pocketing Doug's lighter. We're going to cut these potatoes, try and keep them in three cut pieces, that way they all cook. I like the crispy bits of it. We should have put a bunch of onion and garlic in here too. We have three bigs plus that fish. Doug cut them up into smaller pieces so we can cut them. Go watch Doug's video to find out. Got three potatoes, a bunch of garlic and onion in there, and look at this butter. It's already melted. Just ready to be drooped on there. I do not have enough tinfoil to do two. I have two pieces, but then it can be double wrapped. Do you want spices in it? Just like cooking at home. Hobo Joe. Bunny Joe. I went paddling around in the fog while you were sleeping when the sun was coming up. You were like the wombats. It was really fun. Really, really calm and relaxing. Oh, I saw a beaver tonight, too. Splashed a tail. Well, that's enough about Doug. Yeah, it was a good day. I had a good day, too. I don't know what my favorite part of the day was. Maybe, I don't know, just catching all the... You know what? Actually, sitting here in the morning was really fun, too. This trip was very relaxed and that's not our usual thing when we get together. That's very true. We usually have to go, go, go and the summer is hot so it was good to just chill. Oh, indubitably. Okay guys, it's probably about bedtime so I'm going to end this video tonight and I'll catch up with you guys in the morning. Not much is going to happen tomorrow.
