So it came from my degrees in nutritional science.
I discovered the natural healing powers of nutrition,
and I also suffer from bad period pain for most of my life.
It was combined with my love of dark chocolate
that I, no joke, eat every day.
So I felt like it was a natural combination
to bring into the market about,
start working about three years ago, and I've been launched for two.
For people hearing about this for the first time,
what is in dark chocolate that makes it good for period pain?
Yeah, so dark chocolate is a good source of magnesium,
magnesium which contributes to normal muscle function
but mine has a lot more and per two
square daily serving it's 150 milligrams it's
the high magnesium content to contribute to normal
muscle function plus it has calcium and vitamin d
which is not normally found in chocolate a lot
of people are deficient in those nutrients
when they have period pain so it helps to correct for
it what have you heard so far from the community
with with regards to chocolate yeah a lot of people
say it works for them a lot of people it's telling
me it works right away and some people it takes
time to kick in because every body's different
but overall the reception has been positive and
people love the taste too. Each pouch intentionally has five days
of chocolate in it designed for each
day of an average period.
So like basically two squares per day for five days. If you're above 14
years of age, you're totally fine to have it.
For example, partner, boyfriend, dad, whoever can have
it because it's just an extra source of those nutrients.
But because of it's a supplemented
food, no one under 14 should be having it.
What's next for Code Red Chocolate? So I'm going to
expand to other different product lines for women's health.
And I also want to create a extra
dark chocolate and a milk chocolate version
of this so to expand different SKUs. So you can go
to my website biosnacktube.ca.
I'm also sold in Benjamin's Bodega and Double Rainbow Cafe in
Guelph. We're currently expanding
into goodness me locations across Ontario and the University
of Guelph bookstore. Plus I'll be at specialty events such
as the National Women's Show in the
beginning of November.
