Field of Glory: Empires - Let's Play - Roman Grand Campaign - IV

The Etruscans are defeated and new Roman armies are fielded. The Samnites have declared war after many raids on Roman territory during the "peace". A large Roman army marches into the mountains and after several indecisive battles is defeated and its general killed. The defeated army falls back to Rome to lick its wounds, and raise new legions. This defeat will not be forgotten. The Samnites will be made to bow to Roman authority.

"The Roman republic has to contend with several threats right from the start. The Senones, a Celtic tribe to the north-east, are eager to repeat the sack of Rome. They are your main enemy at the start as they are already at war with your nation. the Etruscans and Samnites are neighbors and will have to be pacified one way or another."
