Cheetah life cycle: Nine out of ten cheetah cubs born on the Serengeti plains never reach adulthood, and the mother knows it. That is why she moves the den every few days.

A 90-95 day pregnancy, three to five blind cubs, a den that moves constantly to dodge lions and hyenas, live-prey training sessions at six months, and a family that splits at 16-20 months.
