(548) Purple and Pink Bloom Technique on Wood Heart!

I'm back with another purple and pink bloom technique! I'm working on two different pieces and playing around with techniques to create the best cells.

Follow along!

In the first piece, I'm working on a 1/4 inch thick wood heart, on the second one I'm working on a square 8x8 inch canvas.

I am using pink and purple mica powders instead of paint. When dried, they have a beautiful shimmer which gives great depth to the painting.

For my cell activator, I am using black acrylic paint mixed with Floetrol. For my base paint, I am using a thick white house paint mixed with a little Gac 800 to stop it from cracking.

I love using the bloom technique, I think the second piece turned out slightly better than the first. What do you think?
