Not what we Planned for!

We've got the family here at a cottage, a friend's place. We're going to spend a few days here. We have planned on winter camping, but a winter thunderstorm is rolling in soon. It's going to rain and thunderstorm for two days. So we're not going to camp. We're going to be in this cottage. We've already been here one night. Probably going to stay another two, maybe another one. We're not sure yet. Just out on a snowshoe hike and we are going to what are we gonna do? What are we gonna make? No, we're gonna make hot chocolate Let's go into the forest Thank you, remember that birch bark we gathered earlier so watch this put it down the thing I got a Mora Garberg I've been playing with lately pretty cool knife What I really like about it is the exposed Tang for a fire striking and you can actually even use it inside the sheath so there's no problems but the sparks that this thing throws is pretty ridiculous okay so it's on fire I need the twigs please come close it's fine thank you I was spreading everywhere all the sparks like this okay good call you want to put these on just right on top it's okay just put it right on top back up oh perfect put them on a little bit more all right go get some water yep oh what bag you got there will it's a lovely man purse it is isn't it all right so we got our um hidden woodsman haversack and we'll pull out our canteen go get some water yes i need to take my gloves off too you're thirsty from this motion i got the water yep hot chocolate thank you one right you used three for one cup right the normal hot chocolate and that starbucks nonsense yeah go ahead drop one in each okay okay i'll get it it's just a little snow put it in there there you go wait a bit of hot chocolate really there are all of it's just a little bit these aren't big cups at all that one can be yours it has the least amount just blow on it and have a small sip have a sip it's not hot mine's not hot at all anymore they were sitting in the snow They were sitting in the snow, they cooled down. It's just, that's steam. What the? The pepperoni! Hear the airplane? Can you tell where we had a fire? Can you still see it? Not too bad though, eh? You're right. Cream. Tum tum, tummy. The thing that I did here. Yeah, was it nice of them to let us stay here, right? Maybe we should say thank you. Can you say thank you? I mean, not forever. And what else? You know, anything. I want my hair all the way down to my feet like Rapunzel, but she has her hair longer than me. In the movie I love. What movie's that? Rapunzel. I don't know the name. Tangled? Tangled. Tangled. So we kept Demi out of school for a couple days this week. yeah she's just in just in junior kindergarten but we think that spending time away from home and together might warrant a few days off of school yeah what we can another time but this was our camping time together like mommy got time off of work and you took time off school and we came up here to do it but look at how what we wouldn't be able to be out there right now we'd be soaking wet but we would we would have been outside for 10 minutes got soaking wet come back inside uh dry off in the hot tent you know what i mean um snow pants on and off which is always fun mittens and snowshoes and boots and all that stuff so this is easier we can stay in here go out for like hour or two hour long hikes come back dry off with the wood stove downstairs and uh we can went into town a couple times cook supper in here it's much nicer it's better memories I think than being hectic outside in the rain are you trying to block my face anyways make sense to me I'm had I'm happy we did this are you happy we're here you're happy we're doing this yeah okay well that's all it Hey, let's do the giggle dance for daddy's film, one sec, giggle, giggle, giggle, giggle, giggle, shake your body out, this is the giggle dance, this is the new giggle dance for the giggle dance, up here, and then, say shortcut, I can't say shortcut, shortcut, shortcut, There you go. Turns out you can only watch Puss in Boots so many times before it gets old, so we're gonna go drive drive to Walmart and uh get a couple movies I think. Yeah? Don't forget about Sophia Grace and Rose. We've watched that multiple. Foggy McFoggerton. The Giant Peach. Lord of the Rings All three. All three for seven bucks. Night at the Museum all three ten bucks you go some daddy pops i've got two that i haven't tried before one is called clutch redline brew house american pale ale and side launch american pale ale collingwood and barry we're going downstairs to watch movies i'm not as good of an actor as he is this is a nice heated room it's nice and cozy nice way to spend a few days away from work just joey night at the museum because emerald's not even going to pay attention to it after all of that and i don't want to watch james and the giant peach i swear he says oh well that movie wasn't as good as i remember it being it was one of the longest movies of all time after it was we went out for a hike and got caught in the rain again got drenched all of our stuff is hanging up drying by the uh by the wood stove there we're gonna get supper on soon we're gonna do spaghetti and garlic bread tonight for supper that should be good what's up baby looking pretty good have you tried it now put myself by the cheese how was supper uh delicious yeah are you kidding are you joking with me can i help my chocolate egg yeah what'd you get what'd you get what is it because look at the hand it has a ring on it's a ring it's a ring just one sec i'll show the camera it's a ring okay let me see this so i can put it together oh it's a ring why didn't you say so i did the camera what don't what i hear it okay somebody's causing a ruckus downstairs.
