5 Tips to prevent sexually transmitted infections.

Number 1. Use condoms. Correct and consistent use of condoms significantly reduces the risk of infections like HIV, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. Additionally, they help prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Number 2. Regular screening. Many sexually transmitted infections have non-specific symptoms, or sometimes, no symptoms at all. Therefore, getting tested regularly helps detect infections early.

Number 3. Get vaccinated. HPV and hepatitis B vaccines protect against important sexually transmitted infections.

Number 4. Limit sexual partners. Having a mutually monogamous relationship with a tested, uninfected partner reduces the risk of sexually transmitted infections.

Number 5. Avoid sharing needles. Never share needles or injection equipment, as infections like HIV and hepatitis B can spread via needle prick.

Remember, many S T I’s are treatable, and prevention starts with informed choices.
