Browns vs. Ravens Pick: Cleveland Offers Best Value

All right, well, speaking of big line changes, this is the big one of the week in terms of spread as the Ravens opened up at five and a half point favorites. And then naturally, once they announced that Lamar Jackson was going to miss this week, there was some thought that he would play. This one went down all the way down to three and a half. So Snoop Huntley will start at quarterback for Baltimore. Cleveland, you know, certainly looked awful last week against the New York Jets. But as I was talking about during the week on some of my other shows, this is probably one of my favorite plays of the week on Cleveland now I know that they're getting three and a half here and there's a couple of factors here for me Joe uh in this game in particular factor number one is certainly I think that I would sell uh Huntley as fast as I possibly can uh he's never been good I mean basically it's just last week was just an anomaly sort of week with him and then the other part of this Joe is that as long as I've followed this series and as as bad as the Browns have been and as good as the Ravens have been the Browns have always beat the Ravens once I don't know if it's going to be this week and if it's not okay and I'll just make sure that I remember the next time around when they go to Baltimore because a couple years ago when Baltimore was putting up 70s Nick Chubb ran for 200 yards on the Ravens and they ended up losing so uh I I would it's the line is obviously not as good as it was earlier in the week but there's just no endorsing uh Huntley from Lamar Jackson I just think it's it's a bigger drop off for me than the line would indicate yeah I think the theme of this week is there was a lot of early value and a lot of that early value is now starting to fall apart whether it be in that Falcons total we talked about or in this game where it was five and a half and that's where I got it because I was like oh five and a half on Cleveland let's go this exact path of thought was the same of mine that you had which is the Browns are competitive uh without Lamar Jackson probably not and you saw he wasn't practicing early I didn't think it was going to be a good situation remember they don't have a bye till uh week 13 coming up so it's a far away time here for the Ravens for getting Lamar Jackson out He's not going to have some kind of buffer in the weeks ahead where they go, okay, cool, we've got a rest week here where we can rest Lamar We've got to figure this out sooner than later So I do think this is a precarious situation for them to go into Cleveland. And I think right now, that five and a half gone the best value is probably the money line. Straight up, Cleveland finding a way to win this football game Now, going against them is Judkins' health He's going to be more of a game-time decision. They have Julio McLaughlin who's going to handle some of that role as well. McLaughlin at times when he was called upon by the Broncos in years past has shown that he can handle a workload be a streaming RB for you in that situation look for Denzel Boston in this game to kind of get back on track Concepcion was dealing with concussion protocol we'll see how healthy he is in this game too but I'm with you I definitely think this is a winnable game also back to back road games for the Ravens the Ravens pulled a rabbit out of their hat last week in overtime with Lamar I don't know if they're going to be able to do that two weeks in a row on the road so therefore I'm on the money line here plus 150 for Cleveland a lot of folks are you know referring to long time backup for Lamar Jackson and Snoop Huntley forgetting that two years ago he started several games for the Miami Dolphins he was horrible there too I don't I don't understand people forget that he's now back with Baltimore for a second time
