Doctors describe hospitals shattered by Israel’s genocide in Gaza

Children just lined up on the floor in respiratory distress. They're shot in the chest. This is like the silent genocide. People not able to get just basic things. A kid came in, probably 12 years old, shot in the head and his head is already on the floor. So you can imagine how dirty that is and all of that bacteria is getting into the head. And I remember we needed to intubate him, and I'm on the floor, and we're dragging him by the legs to move him. His head wound is literally creating a trail of blood on the floor. And the father is telling me, he's telling us, she was just sleeping in the tent, and a quadcopter came from above and started shooting at them through the tent. She was in hemorrhagic shock, meaning she was bleeding out to death. The bullet went through the abdomen, through her intestines, and through the uterus, and literally actually through the baby. There's a picture of it, that part of the head as a bullet went through it. And not only did she lose that baby, but she'll never have a child again. All the patients lagged in place, and there was just nothing to stabilize the fractures. A shell of a hospital with all the windows blown out, all the doors blown out. I went through the radiology department on a tour, and pretty much everything was destroyed, from the CAT scan machine to the mammogram unit to the interventional radiology department to the ultrasound department, completely inaccessible. It was very dangerous to walk around. This is like the silent genocide. No one's talking about it, but people not able to get just basic things. You could imagine that they're just not gonna be able to continue their lives. They're gonna say, oh, they died from a medical cause, but it's a medical cause that could have been treated.
