She Raises Them Perfectly for 14 Months _ Cheetah Documentary _ Wildlife Documentary 4K.

She will lose almost every cub she ever raises. On the Serengeti plains, nineteen out
of twenty cheetah cubs born never reach independence. And the researchers who followed
these mothers, hour by hour, found something that makes the number harder to accept,
not easier: she was never the problem.
This cheetah documentary follows one mother through fourteen months on the open grass,
from four cubs the size of a man's hand to whatever is left of them.
A cheetah does not dig. She has no den. What she has is a patch of tall grass she
judged better than the patches around it, and the fact that nothing has looked there
yet. She cannot stay with them, because four cubs are drinking from a body that carries
almost no reserve, so she leaves, and every trip she makes is a hole in the only
protection they have.
