Bruce, a bored, 40-something paralegal stuck in a mid-life rut, finds himself yearning for his past glory days. He decides to get his 1990s indie rock band, "The Incoherents," back together. He reconnects with his old bandmates—a jaded liquor store owner, a stressed-out family man, and a demanding personal trainer—who are all mired in their own mid-life malaise. Despite being older, rustier, and juggling real-life responsibilities, the foursome attempts to recapture their old magic for one last shot at rock and roll stardom.
