Utah's Great Salt Lake Is Hiding Something That Would Change The Entire Geological History

The Great Salt Lake is disappearing — and the consequences could reach far beyond Utah.

In this DiscoverTube investigation, we look at how water diversions, agriculture, drought and continued population growth are pushing one of North America’s most important inland lakes toward a dangerous tipping point.

As the shoreline retreats, toxic dust, weaker lake-effect snow, collapsing wildlife habitat and major economic losses could follow.

The most disturbing part is not that scientists failed to see it coming.

It’s that they have been warning about it for years.
