COMIC CON London - The Alien Queen - Stuart St Paul

So it's been a mad week. I've just got off a wonderful P&O cruise ship in Tenerife. They've flown me back so I can do Comic Con at the National Sci-Fi Museum Centre in Milton Keynes and then I'm flying back to do another cruise ship for P&O. So we're at Comic Con 2026 with the fans of Aliens. So this is Comic Con. There's a guy from Ghostbusters. all kinds of fans here at Comic Con amazing this one today's in Milton Keynes and people have come dressed as all sorts of characters William Hope up there, Michael Ralston down here, and the last one I got was Julia up here was at MCM last month. I'm in there. you finish signing individual pictures and if one of the collectors sees your line is empty they'll bring you up 50 or 100 pictures to sign and then you just sit there signing one after the other thank you so much malcolm's at the other side so there's two of us in the Queen Alien was there yeah i'm one side malcolm's the other side so there's four arms so it's like our two arms and his two arms. Malcolm is on the other desk. Thank you very much. No worries. Hi. Thank you. Hiya. The amount of plastic versions of this I have in my house is unbelievable. This? Yes. Wow. So you were in one side and someone was in the other side. So yeah, Malcolm's sitting over the other side, so on the right arm, he's the left arms, our heads move the neck, so together our neck muscles would move the head, our arms were the arms, and our feet, only our feet muscles would swing the tail, and then there were two props guys with a whip, and they would whiplash the end of the tail as we moved them. How high up were you? we got I mean we want to claim so we just go up and down yeah so we never new town do you ever go in that funny prototype one yeah with the plastic bags can we sign this yes please i want my point just my signature um yeah on my wall back home i've got Carl Trueman the alien warrior We are going to go next door in there you go oh that's amazing thank you so much if you want Malcolm is on the other on the other desk and there are very few pictures we've ever signed together there's got to be less than 50 so far you're all right yeah i'm good to see you okay So I have a special edition of my book Cruise Ship Heist, which has an Aliens introduction, purely for Comic Con and it's what really happened on Aliens it's quite a good tale because no one has ever told the real story of what happened on Aliens so with the specialist autograph buyers and sellers the celebrity autograph sellers who come to you in bulk to just sign autographs i reckon i signed over 1,000 autographs in that one day on the Sunday which was the busiest day absolutely incredible and i'm sitting next to Craig Charles from Red Dwarf and Ben the voice of Wallace and Gromit and there's everybody there it's absolutely incredible and in the afternoon you get pulled away to this box and you do photo sessions with fans who come in and actually just want the picture with you it's all organized somebody else does it for you and i have my picture taken with this guy who came in a blow-up costume of the alien. So you couldn't see who he was but I had my picture taken next to him. I've never seen that before, it's incredible. Yeah I don't know if Sigourney Weaver is gonna fall for you like that. There is a Stuart and Paul section on the Doris visits YouTube channel with the films, commercials I've done and me at locations of books I've written. In the novel Cruise Ship Heist when Kieran Philip stops in the Panama Canal Basin he decides he wants to visit the Embera village so when I wrote about this it's kind of dreaming I've done a bit of research but it comes to life when you see it for real these are the canoes and it is gonna take 10 or 12 minutes cruise ship heist obviously it's a novel so I did embellish it a bit when the canoes arrive at the Embera village there's quite a trek through the wilderness the jungle in order to get here to the camp and on that trek they stop at a waterfall and they all go swimming that didn't happen here but it did happen in the novel so this is the Embera village that we've just been in and this looks like the school and I wrote Cruise Ship Heist, I genuinely have never been here so this is a it's a real treat, this is an Umbera village it is in the middle of Panama we're on the Chagres River and we have come to the village that I wrote about now I wrote about it because I researched it and what what caught my eye was the fact that an English lady had married a tribesman and as such she'd set up the tours here now I don't know how true that is I read that on the website but certainly it's a huge success now and Kieran comes here with a young lady who's met on the boat and Kieran thinks he's being followed he reckons the guy in the supply boats after him but he's got his eye on the wrong person there is nothing better than playing out a drama in front of some incredible scene which is perfectly natural so here where the guys are dancing in the background commander Phillips has just worked out who is following him and he's decided to kind to get hold of them. Well, everybody's dancing. The girl he's taken to the village is dancing and he's being encouraged to go on the dance floor. He can't, his prisoner would get away. So he does a little bit of a slight hand and he gives the prisoner to the girl he's taken. That way he can still see they're there. When Kieran actually does leave, you'll find out whether or not he's got his captive with him. He's certainly got the girl that he brought with him on the bus she comes from the ship but when they get near to the beach they need to get back but they're going to meet the coach and he thinks he's safe well kicks off again because you are only halfway through the book although nobody's killed in the village in the book does get pretty close it was eventful and it was a great day we saw some dancing they had a lovely sample of food the fruit was just absolutely gorgeous and it's great to see how people live and if you happen to read one of my cruise novels there are 10 in this series please do leave a review on Amazon Cruise Ship Heist has been number one three times in two different countries.
