Every AI tool has a free plan now. I took one business idea, a small online shop for dog owners, and ran it through four free plans to see how far $0 gets you and where each one asks you to pay: ChatGPT with no account, Doba Pilot, Claude, and Canva.
The video demonstrates how to launch a small online business (a dog supply shop) using only the free tiers of various AI tools. The creator guides the viewer through a step-by-step workflow—from ideation and product sourcing to copywriting and branding—to prove that starting a side hustle requires no initial financial investment, only action.
Every AI tool has a free plan now.
The question is, can these free plans actually get you anywhere?
So I'm taking one business idea, a small online shop for dog owners.
For each one, I'll show you what you can get
for free and where it asks you to pay.
Then at the end, I'll tell you which ones I'd actually pay for first.
So I'm going to do them in the order
that you would actually need them to start this side hustle.
So first tool is going to be ChatGPT.
You don't even need an account for this one.
I have a fresh incognito mode.
I'm not logged in.
have no account at all
and i'm just asking it where to start what kind of dog products are
worth testing uh if you've got just a few hundred dollars
so from chat gpt the free version they
give personalized dog bandanas
which having two dogs now i got a second dog but i can verify
dog owners love like personalized things
for their dogs personalized dog bandana honestly i'd probably
buy it never saw myself being this way
but i am what i am um poop bag holder yeah i always need
that. Dog enrichment toys.
Yes, you want your dog to do better and improve.
Pet hair removal. I have
a Husky and a Pomeranian Husky. Big problem.
And then portable dog walking accessories, which I
take my dogs on like 50 walks a day.
So definitely need that as well. So for ideation, definitely can
use ChatGPT for free just to get ideas.
Bounce your ideas off of ChatGPT and see if you like
what it has to say. It's kind of like an advisor for free.
So a great starting point. But what this
doesn't tell me is which exact product to sell,
who makes it, what I'd actually make on selling
it, what are the margins.
It gives me ideas, but not products with numbers. So I'll get there in
a minute. So free gets you good ideas, no account needed,
but where it stops is it doesn't actually
know what is for sale or what it costs,
what my profit could be, anything like that. And then a
little tip that I've learned here is I end most
of my prompts with keep it short or else you end up
with like two page answers, which, you know,
if you want two pages of answers, that's great. But
usually I'm looking just for, Hey,
sum it up where they say, kiss, keep it simple, stupid,
not insulting AI. AI is very smart.
So tool two is Doba pilot. This is an AI that finds a drop
shipping products for you and new accounts start with 30 free credits,
no card. One message is one
credit. So I have a paid account with Doba pilot,
but you get 30 free messages on the free account.
So you can say things like find me six products
for dog owners under $25 that I could sell
profitably. Again, one credit per message,
but this goes into the Doba database and we'll find
six products for dog owners under $25 that sell profitably.
So this is the same idea that I gave
to ChatGPT, but this time it actually goes and finds real products.
So it'll give you a lot more
information than ChatGPT will
so here they gave elevated breathable dog bed a pee pad holder
stainless steel pet bowls a heavy duty six foot
leash dog poop bags cute black dog flannel blanket
so and you notice we get a lot more information
when we run it through this and opposed to Chat
GPT it tells us about how much these will sell
for what kind of profit we're looking at so like
16% profit. Actually, this one's 53% profit.
And it even gives us the supplier. So where can we
find these products? If we need them in bulk,
like what is the supplier? And gives information
about the supplier as well.
And very key information, refund rate, how many people
ask for refunds for this product.
So you want that number to be low, obviously. And these AI
insights tell you why this might be a good product
for you personally to sell. US warehouse means it
is faster delivery and then fast prep
which in drop shipping delivery time is probably one of
the number one complaints because people are too used to Amazon
so if you get really fast shipping
that's what people are looking
for so ChatGPT gave some good info on some ideas of things to
sell but not enough information to actually pick a product to sell
so since we get 30 free messages
with Doba Pilot we can narrow these down
to only the ones that ship from a U.S warehouse
If it ships from China, it's going to take quite a while
to reach an American audience and people are going to get upset.
So in this list, five of the original six ship
from U.S. warehouses already.
So it just took out the dog blanket
because that ship's not from the U.S.
So two credits used. I've got products,
prices and suppliers cost me zero dollars.
What free doesn't include here is actually setting up the store
and listing these to your store.
for that they do have a seven day trial for 99 cents
so it's not completely free but you know
a dollar is is almost free but link
and code down in the description if you want to check that out
so free gets you real products with the numbers attached
and the sources where it stops is the
store setup so two or three we're gonna look
at is Claude on the free plan so I've got some products
from Doba and now I need something to say about them on my store
so of course I have a paid Claude
plan I talk about it a lot
but I created a new free plan I want to see what you can get on free
what you can get is you can get Sonnet 3.5
which is a pretty powerful model Opus 3.5 and of course
Haiku is their top model but Opus is what I use
for most of my daily tasks that you do have to pay
but Sonnet 3.5 will work for most things
and you can use it free here so I'm going to have it just
write a short friendly product description
for some of those products that we found on Doba
and that took like three seconds sometimes i like
when AI takes longer because it makes me feel like
it actually went out and and looked um but AI is getting very fast
so waterproof dog car booster
seat give your pup a front row view
and a safer more comfortable ride i'm sold already on this
and then the elevated dog cot lets your dog relax
in cool comfort indoors or out and maybe this
would prevent dog hair um if i didn't let my dog sleep on the couch
but got this elevated dog cot
instead so free on Claude will get you writing
that's good enough to use um where it stops is
you can't use their top model you can't use Opus 3.5
um and Opus is better okay i know a lot of
people who are like ai is not that smart it's not that great
and then i ask what what what plan are
you on what are you using they say oh i'm using the free Claude
or i'm using the free chat gpt
Those are not the top models, okay?
You're not getting a good feel
for what AI can actually do for you.
So tool four we're gonna look at is Canva.
And I do have a Canva paid account as well,
but I'm using the free account.
Created a fresh new account.
I just wanna see what I can get for free on Canva.
Every store needs a logo,
so I'm gonna have Canva build a logo for me.
So I'm gonna go over here to Canva AI.
Again, I'm not interested in designing my own thing.
I don't have time for that.
So we're gonna tell Canva
that we need a simple friendly logo
for an online dog shop called Good Boy Goods what do you think
of that for a name i got that from claude uh flat
design one paw print warm colors let's see what it
comes up with all right so it did come up with a logo here
and this works for a first logo honestly
you don't want super complicated logos it's not going to win an award
but you don't need that on
day one you can always iterate
and get better you just need something and Canva free plan says you
get 20 ai uses so i can make 20 different logos
so here's where i ended up four tools zero dollars
i've got a list of ideas from chat gpt i got real products
with suppliers and pricing and shipping
information from Doba product descriptions from claude
and a logo from Canva so that's a big chunk
of what you need to actually start a store
and i did all this for free and my main point in this
video is for you to start taking some action.
Again, hard work brings profit. Mere talk leads
only to poverty. I might say it in every video I ever make,
but a lot of people are talking about
starting a side hustle, starting a store.
I want you to just take some action, and I showed you
four things you can do today that cost you no money at all,
and they get you on your way.
Then if you want to keep going from there,
of course, you can sign up for a Doba account.
99 cents. It'll help you get your store started,
get the products actually listed on the store
I have a lot of videos about that but take some action link
to all these things down in the
description let me know in the comments what you're going
to do today thank you all so much
for watching god bless you all and have a great rest of your day
