Polling locations in Ada County see high turnout for early voting

So early voting kicked off this week. We have 10 locations across the county. We're really excited with the turnout that we're seeing. Yesterday we saw over 6,100 voters. For a little context, in 2018 we had just around 1,700 voters turn out on our first election, our first day of early voting, and in 2022 we had just over 1,800 voters turn out. So we went from 1,800 voters in a previous-like election to 6,100 voters this go-around. Also, in November of 2024, on our first day of early voting, we saw 4,600 voters on our first day of early voting. So we even beat a presidential. So there's clearly a buzz around early voting right now, a buzz of getting out to the polls. With 10 sites to serve the county, we have spots in just about every area, so it's relatively close. a voter can go to any one of those locations. Our hot spots right now are Benjamin and Meridian, as well as Boise City Hall, Eagle City Hall, and then Bound Crossing down in southeast Boise. So we're seeing great turnout at early voting. We hope that excitement continues through the rest of the election. Early voting started yesterday. We'll go through Friday the 30th, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at any of those 10 locations.
