Kempe scores twice as Kings rally past Capitals for first win of season

Brodzinski with Leonard three-on-three. Leonard pulls up, has room. Off the head fake. Fires, he scores! Keeps up the hot hand! A block by Clark. Quick counterattack sends Panarin. One-on-one against the Rookie Hudson. Joining here is Kempe! He fires and scores! That's a goal scorer's goal the last two seasons for Kempe. 36 and 35 goals. Center. Ten seconds remain in the period. Hard hit from Favarelli. DeHarnay there. He was shown the backboards by Laferriere. Two seconds now. One. That one's in. And it will count. This is a 2-2 game out of nowhere. Yep. Matt Roy checking over the shoulders. Kempe greeted him. Panarin slots it. And it's banged in in tight. Just like that, L.A. grabs the two-goal advantage. And they are pumped on the Kings bench.
