Hi guys, we're back. I'm here with the host for the most, Marty, my guy. I like that. Quickly, you're the man for the intros, isn't it? That's right. Yeah, yeah. We're here, 1-0, victory, Arsenal, away to Forest. What were your thoughts on that game? 1-0 to the Arsenal, job done. By hook or by crook, we get the job done, three points in the bag, we move on. Do you know what? I could pick apart the football and say it was boring, it was drab, it was, you know, we didn't this this is a game over previous seasons where we've drawn scored uh no score draws and we got the job done today today it was about keeping pace on Man City they are if i'm honest with you they're they're looking frighteningly good they are just they're not dropping points do you think they're ahead of us at the minute do you know what i know this is the maddest thing is when i when i watched that uh Community Shield um game we were miles ahead of them and then literally they just kicked into gear and when all this like charged stuff came out it was like they had this like unity and they've just like sort of siege mentality and just you know done what they're doing and they're doing what they do um can they win the Premier League i think obviously we know there's situations that need to be sorted out before that because the whole thing feels a bit off the pace. But Arsenal today, you know, 1-0 to the Arsenal, listen, it wasn't fantastic. The thing that I really do rate and which is important is players off the bench, Nani Madueke, this is a guy that's had a lot of criticism from Arsenal fans and from everyone, you know, match winner today. Whether it was deflected, the ball went in the back of the net and we won the game 1-0. It's as simple as that. um and it's nice to see it's nice to see that and it's nice to see this was a game where in my head it could have gone you know i would have liked it to have been i know more goals in it but i also understood it could be a nil nil we could have drawn or dare i say lost this we find it tough to go there but we got the job done and that's it the performance listen i as a in the first half I think Arteta made a good call I need to see more from this guy like you know he is a phenomenal player he's a fantastic talent was he out of position I just think he looked out of sorts today I think a lot of players did I think even Declan Rice he's one of my favourite players he he looked out of sorts in the first half Arsenal are just finding a way to get the job done that's I think what 10 wins out of 11 games which that's that's good bang for your buck that that's the reality of the situation would you would you say though Marty this is like a performance that worried you or is it just more about just getting points on the board at the minute for you do you know what I kind is it worrying the way I see it and this is this is my opinion and I know and I don't expect everyone to agree with it it is just purely about winning games of football whether we won it how it I love I love the clean sheet element I thought Konsa was absolutely fantastic today and and you've got to give him his props because this is a guy that's you know being brought into Arsenal yes he's Premier League proven uh and he was a top performer for Aston Villa but to come into this Arsenal back four and replace essentially Saliba whilst he's injured what I see from this guy is do you know what he understands that Saliba is going to get fit soon and it's like I'm going to make this hard for the manager to just put you straight in I'm going to make this a decision for you and we're talking about William Saliba probably one of the best centre-backs in world football 100% in world football he's quality he's class right he is absolutely phenomenal now Ezri Konsa has shown guile by steel determination uh he he's physical he's he's a tough guy to play against yeah that's everything you want in the center back he's a big guy and he gets around the pitch even we saw it uh late on in the second half he lost a half a yard or a yard I think it was a delat that was coming through and then he catches up and makes a fantastic last ditch challenge that's what defending that's like textbook 101 defending you know these guys you know to fit in with uh Gabriel who is obviously quality but to fit into that back four keep a clean sheet I think listen let's be honest, we might as well just give David Raya his golden glove right here, right now. We might as well just present it to him next week. That is just a given. That guy, I think that's underrated. In games like this, these games can be won or lost by goalkeeping errors or errors. There was an error that Calafiori made in the first half, a weak ball, but it was recovered. And that's how tight you need to keep it in these games. We got the job done. I can't, you've got Bayern Munich on. I was going to ask you about that. Yeah. So how, yeah. How does that, this performance and this result set us up for, for that Bayern Munich game at Allianz in the week? I think for me, I've said it before. I think the Champions League is this season. This is, this is the proposition. This is a trophy that's evaded Arsenal Football Club in its, you know, entire existence. And it's a trophy that we need to get in that cabinet because of the magnitude of winning it and it's the only thing really that rival fans or anyone can throw at us and a club of Arsenal stature needs uh that in in a trophy cabinet I fancy us I fancy us against anyone we are capable of playing football in a lot of ways and a lot of that way is dare I say you know like we were doing a watch along and everyone's like oh this is the most boring football I've heard all this stuff I heard it all last season right I heard it all last season and we still won the league we still won the league you know there were people having meltdowns saying this is the worst football Arsenal played no it's not the worst football i personally saw Arsenal play was i think in the 93 94 see when we won the league and cup double and 95 and some of those some of those seasons that football it was i mean that that season when we'd league and cup double i think finished eighth um that was not good football that was and also there's years you You know, sort of some of the, I think the Emery years, some of the Wenger years. You know, when you're talking, we are every season, we're title challengers, contenders, and we have been for years. And you're not always going to, again, this is not FIFA. This is, you know, games of football are won on fine margins. And today we found that fine margin. And that fine margin was bringing Noni Madueke onto the pitch at halftime. And I respect Arteta for making that change quickly. he he identified the problem which was on the left hand side and that was Eze just not at the races and and that's not to dig him out it's just where it was at today for him and then Noni Madueke he comes onto the pitch and one way or another the ball ends up in the back of the net and that is good management and that is seeing games out we saw the game out at the end we got you know we I've seen a lot of Arsenal teams that have been very naive. A lot of teams in football, you know, you get the win. It's hard to keep a 1-0 scoreline, and it's hard to keep clean sheets, especially in the Premier League. So how does that set us up for Bayern Munich? Very well. I fancy our chances, especially against a team like that. And do you know what? I want to play a team like that, and I want a full-strength Bayern, even though Eze is unfortunately suspended. And do you know what? I want to test this Arsenal team out against the best. Because I think, and I rate Arsenal, and I think we are definitely one of, if not the best team in Europe. And I want to see my assessment of this Arsenal team against... How good we are. How good are we? Listen, let's go away from home to the Allianz with a full-strength Bayern side, and let's see how we perform. If we go there and do a number on it, we'll get a result, whether it's 1-0, whatever. I want to see that, And I want to test us against in those situations. No, I big you up, Marty, man.
