How to Coach Jaren Jackson Jr.

You didn't get a chance to coach Jaron last season after the deal because of the injury. What are you trying to bring out of Jaron with this group? Yeah, my message to Jaron is you're a good basketball player. We're not going to overly focus on which position he is because I believe that he can be both and we're going to need both. Jaron is really curious. He's a worrier in a good way. He really deeply cares about himself, his performance, his approach. making sure that he has all the details right. When you say he's a worrier, what does that mean? He wants to make sure that he's doing it perfect. He is concerned constantly about, does he know all of the plays? Does he know all the communication and terminology? Is he saying it right? Is that what I was supposed to say on that? Some people in our world will just kind of blow through the day, and they just assume that if they do it wrong, somebody will tell them. And Jaron operates on the other side where he wants to make sure that the things that he's doing are being done the right way.
