Ian Simpson is a founding partner of SimpsonHaugh and the architect behind Beetham Tower, the 169-metre tower on Deansgate that was the tallest building in the UK outside London from 2006 until his own Deansgate Square overtook it in 2018.
His apartment sits at the top of the Beetham Tower and covers 1,200 square metres across the top two floors.
Ian walks us through the penthouse, the commute past Contour (the pair of 51-storey towers SimpsonHaugh designed for Renaker on Great Jackson Street) and the studio on King Street.
SimpsonHaugh was founded in Manchester in 1987 by Ian Simpson and Rachel Haugh and works across masterplanning, architecture and interior.
