It's Jackie and welcome back for an old school talk through tutorial.
I haven't posted in a
minute and usually I do pop culture transformations,
vintage icons, but we're going to catch up and I'll
show you my go-to fall makeup look plus all
of my current absolute favorite products. I've also
been craving OG beauty YouTube,
especially fall content from Bethany Mota. So we're going to do
a little throwback Mac Barbie 07 style favorites after this.
Hope you guys enjoy. She's the
blueprint forever. My favorite skincare line
that I've used for the past year, I just got a new one,
is the Caudalie Premier Cru line.
This is anti-aging. It targets wrinkles, dark spots,
and increases volume.
So I love this because it keeps me hydrated, but it doesn't feel
thick on the skin. As much as I love like
a magic cream that's a little bit heavier,
I like to wear this when I don't wear makeup as well,
and it just sinks right into the skin.
Same thing with the eye cream.
I don't know about you, but I'm in my 30s now. I definitely
use an eye cream and I love this one
because it doesn't get ball-y under makeup and it keeps me
hydrated. And then I often will go right in with foundation
and my go-to has remained the Luminous
Silk from Armani but if I want a little extra glow I
also love the Armani Luminous Silk
Illuminating Primer. Let's use some. Look at that glow.
Using Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation
they have such a range of different undertones
for this so you can definitely find your shade
And I love kind of a second skin look for every day.
So I just sheer this out and this is a
BK Beauty 101 brush. I love this one for applying foundation.
And I'm just gonna let this concealer
sit under my eyes
because I actually get quite bad dark circles now.
For the longest time I've
been using this Makeup Forever HD Skin Palette.
As you can see there's quite a dent and I used
to use this as concealer
but like I said I've been getting like much darker under eyes. So I
been trying out a couple of new products
though i still do love this one for sculpting and i've
been using these mac products for highlight
and bronzer mac studio fix 36 hour smooth angles
concealer this blends in so nice
and i've been using it to brighten up feels like a serum all
these products just blend so nice together i have
some natural light peeking in so hopefully you can
see how skin like this looks
also from mac i've been trying out this strobe flashlight beam bronze
lighter. I've noticed I have to be so careful now
with bronzer like cream bronzers. A lot of them
are thicker formula and I find that they settle in fine lines
and I look really like patchy or
maybe I just have a little bit of sun damage
and it picks it up but this is a really thin product.
It has some reflex to it but no like shimmer.
Again does it look like I've added a layer of
anything but I definitely have a bit more color to my skin now.
I used to be a cream blush hater
but I think the formulas have really come a long way
and this looks like a little pebble. This is
from a french brand it smells so good like vanilla
so if you don't like scented products you might
not love this one but oh it smells like a mac lipstick
and this is the shade latte praline it's
their clean blush just bringing this up
from the bronzer it's my favorite everyday shade speaking
of my forehead i want botox oh
my gosh have you guys got it before you can't really see these
lines on camera but in person it bugs me
and i love a smooth snatch forehead not gonna lie so
I'm in the beauty industry. I'm definitely
not against like enhancements. I think the more subtle
the better but it's scary trusting anyone with your face.
Oh my gosh. That said I wouldn't promote
something that I was like doing on the spot
because I wouldn't know if I like regretted it or
not. So I'd probably wait like a couple months
to see how it settled in and then like then I'd share
my experience. So if I look a little snatched
and I don't talk about it just wait a little bit. How
cute. This is the second blush I'm using
and it's the product I also used on my lip later along with
deeper lip liner i always love shades like
this this one is number four but i love a sunburn
type of shade in the summer
and in the fall i think you can make it really toasty and pretty
you know i love a nose contour this is like
the easiest way i do it it's the makeup forever color
artist pencil in endless cacao i just draw
on a little bit of a suggestion of how i want my nose
to look and then blend out before i've set my face with powder
and my go-to powder this has been
been consistent for years. It's by Florasis.
I like the white one. The pink one is nice too
and I just pat to set. I love it because it sets the makeup in place,
blurs pores a little bit but
it never looks too powdery.
There everything's set but you can still see the shine through.
Let's move to brows.
Okay I'm in love with this brow pencil from Mecca Max.
So this is available
in Australia and New Zealand so if you're from there this is the best.
I love it. Just brushing
my brows up and then look at the shape of this brow pencil.
Brows just make such a difference
to frame the face. I like to take the head of my brow slightly higher.
That's why this is so cool
to use. Lining up the top of the brow.
Usually a lot closer to the mirror. I'll have to fix this up.
There are so many brows right now that like lift up
but I've always really liked a brow that frames
the eye. It's a little bit vintage
and I don't add the pencil all the way down to the lowest part. I
gonna cheat it. These are just like my personal,
you know, makeup tips that I like to do on myself.
I love adding little freckles on like tiny bumps.
Finally, I know this has been quite an in-depth
base. I love my Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand.
I'll add a tiny amount to my nose tip,
really small amount on my cheekbone.
Also adding this in the inner corner. Nothing picks up light
like this and these last forever because I use such a small amount.
Before I move on to the eyes,
I have to show this product that I just picked up from Sephora.
It's the Laneige Sleeping Mask,
but it's a gingerbread. I feel like this is fall and holiday.
Did I need another lip mask? No,
but I just, I was drawn to this. How cute is that?
I'm going to try to avoid him. Oh,
I got some of his arm. I'll be using this all holiday season.
Zoomed you in for the eye. This
is a Wet n Wild palette. I use it all the time
and I really like this shade here. Just swept
across the lid and my go-to for eye brushes are rougher.
This look is more about the lip but I
still like to do the sweep of a matte shadow
to kind of sculpt out the area. Also quick note on
the title of this video I called it a soft autumn look kind
of like a soft fall glam that anyone
could wear but I also am a soft autumn on like
the color analysis spectrum but I don't want anyone to
feel excluded here because these are all neutral
and muted enough that I think they'd work on
everyone especially for fall.
Speaking of simple shadow looks I like this Ilia shadow stick. I'm
going to blend my eyeliner with it just so we have like
a little pop of bronze underneath to pick up
the light as well. We stayed matte on the lid
but I wanted a bit of texture. I'll show you how pretty
this shade is. Not too orange based just
a really pretty bronze but once I have that flicked out
shape which I'll match with a little outer corner lash I like
to blend it in using a matte shadow
just taking a little bit of this pressing it
into the skin this makes sure there's no
like little holes in the liner it just makes it all look more seamless
also adding this underneath
the bottom lashes i
also love adding a little point in the inner corner and i'm also going
with a brown mascara just so it's soft and pretty
and it's from Chanel this is my favorite Chanel
beauty product i've tried i always would say like oh why
do like a luxury mascara but i bought this
for a tutorial I didn't end up filming
and then I've been using it every day. It's just a little
bit softer than black. I think it looks really nice.
Chanel. This is what the simple eye looks
like. And then my favorite finishing touch
are these Ardell Naked Undies. They're supposed to
go underneath your lashes but I like to do just one on the outer corner
and I think it makes such
a difference. A little more brown mascara.
The eyes are soft but still kind of doll-like when
you add those lashes.
Finally, let's do the statement lip.
Just a blush of color. Now we're
going to deepen up with lip liner.
This is Limitless Brown, one of my favorites. Deepen up
the top lip and then contour the bottom one.
And again, let's build this up. How pretty is that
combo? It feels just so like plushy.
Add a little more warmth to the cheek. If you like this cute
full hairstyle, it's a simple bandana bun.
You might have seen my tutorial on shorts, but if you
only watch long form I'll put it in here while I share a little update.
I took quite a break from
long form YouTube. I knew the industry had moved towards short form.
I just love YouTube so I was
always trying to juggle long form tutorials
and shorts but I never quite figured out what worked
for shorts while splitting my focus making both at the same time.
So I spent the last three months
producing tons of short form content.
I find hair shorts really fun to make like the one you're
watching. So now I have hairstyles on shorts,
some fun transformations to music, but it's cozy season
and i'm back for these sit down and talk through
tutorials we got a different angle for the fall
favorites this is part of my beauty room it's almost done
if you guys want to see a tour i
thought maybe i'd put it on my vlog channel
but i mean this is a beauty channel so that'll be coming
up if you want to see it
but my first fall favorite scarves i love square silk scarves
i either wear them around the neck like in this look
or i wear it in the hair like these looks
this one is a bandana print
which is very in for fall i've been seeing bandana print everywhere
but yeah i'm really drawn
to these muted fall tones i love paisley print this one's on my
wish list and let me know if you think i'm a soft autumn
because i believe i am and i think i'm good
with color but uh color analysis
was messaging me saying she thinks i'm a soft summer and i'm like
but i lean warm like i'm neutral but i lean warm
so you guys let me know am i seeing myself wrong
i do wear a self tanner but my hair
also is like chestnut like it leans kind of red i think i'm
right. But anyways, the next favorite is a fragrance.
Well, I will always love Penhaligon's
Hellfetti. That's like my signature scent.
This one is a new fave. It just smells so expensive.
It opens like a fresh ginger shot, zesty and bright,
then dries down to a warm, spicy cinnamon
and deep woods. It's more on the masculine side.
So if you're like me and love this one,
I would try out this one. So good.
I love woodsy notes, especially for fall. I have some like
honey-based vanilla ones that I love wearing more in the summer
and springtime. And then some
gourmands for the holiday season.
Another hair favorite that I'm obsessed with is this massive
claw clip that looks like a vintage lamp.
This is by the brand Hey Ricochet. Yeah like the stained
glass look. I wore this in the 90s French twist updo.
Next cozy favorite for my fellow journalers
my fall papier journal and my sticker subscription from Eve Anderson.
She has the cutest stickers and
getting sticker mail makes me so happy.
Next up we have some accessories. Here's the first brown
boot from Ray. They look so nice with Levi jeans.
It really took me ages to get on board with like
a looser fit jean. The millennial
in me just loves a boot cut
but they're really comfortable. Then
check out these tall suede boots.
I've been wanting a pair like this for ages and when I saw these
also from Ray I knew I needed them.
This gorgeous Fable England purse.
Again love this little scarf
on here. The croc texture is so nice.
I could go on forever with fall favorites but I'll stop here.
