When Nick pitches, we win.
So excited to hand Nick the ball game one, and we'll go from there.
Everybody's going to be pretty amped up.
I think we're going to try
to do everything we can to stay within ourselves
and stay in the zone.
As soon as you start expanding out of the zone with a guy as special
and talented as Misuraki is, it really works in his favor
to have those lengthy at-bats, try to get the fastball down.
That's very much easier said than done because he's got so much ride
and carry through the zone.
But, I mean, I know they're actively talking about that now.
We're just getting closer to the end here.
And the magnitude of these games,
as much as they were in the DS to the CS,
they're even elevated now.
But I really have been incredibly impressed
with the way our entire roster
has handled, you know,
the intensity of all of these games that we've played.
I know they're excited, and they'll be pretty amped up,
and tomorrow will probably be really,
really loud in the other team's favor.
But we'll take that all in and know
that we're going to return the favor
when we get back to the trot for game three.
There's pride in doing everything you can to win games.
And if we had a club that was built with a bunch of boppers,
we probably wouldn't be bunting and stealing bases either.
But our club's built differently in comparison to some other clubs.
But this group here does everything
on a nightly basis just to win the game,
and that's kind of what has stood out.
And, you know, from afar, I don't know the Brewers that well.
We saw them in April for three games.
It certainly seems like they do very similar things with their lineup,
their construction, and the athleticism
that they show on a nightly basis.
Yeah, it's exciting.
You know, I think as a team, as a staff,
we're confident in whoever we call up for the mound.
And so it fell on me, and, you know,
my job is just to rack up as many outs as we can
and keep us in this ballgame.
I know going in that they're
a pretty relentless lineup.
They don't take any pitches off.
They fight for every pitch.
It's going to be an absolute dogfight.
Yeah, absolutely.
My first taste of playoff baseball was my first year in Japan.
It was a time in my career where I was still finding myself
and honing in my craft.
I felt like it was a great stepping stone
to get me to where I'm at now.
I went from pitching in the playoffs in my first year in Japan and
pitching in the Olympics against Korea
and Japan in the gold medal game.
And coming right back to the States in 22 and
pitching going all the way to the NLCS with the Padres.
And got a little bit of a taste again with Cincinnati last year, and
now we're in the World Series.
I feel like every one of those experiences has been a stepping stone to
where we are now.
