Hello friends, welcome to day 292 of betting $100 every day for a year.
Another losing night last night, 1-3 for a loss of $42.73.
That brings our year-to-date record to 505 wins,
544 losses, 14 pushes for a loss of $170.55.
Alright, let's get into my picks for tonight.
We're going to start in the NHL
and I have one goal score bet for tonight.
I'm going to take Braden Point of the Tampa Lightning to find
the back of the net at plus 230 against the Avalanche.
I'm going to follow the same strategy I've been using.
He's third on the Lightning in expected goals this season at 3.3,
but he's only scored once.
So I think now is a good time to buy low on him.
Third highest expected goals on the team,
but he's fifth on the odds list to score.
So I'll take him to find the back of the net tonight.
For college football, we're going to start
with $20 on Duke to upset Virginia at plus 121.
I think the wrong team is favored in that game.
Duke comes into this game ranking 5th in net adjusted EPA per play.
Virginia's 82nd.
Blue Devils 66th in net success rate.
Cavaliers 79th.
Duke is also a run-first team.
They rely on their run game.
Virginia defense ranks just 117th in opponent EPA per rush.
130th in opponent rush success rate.
So I think that's going to hurt them trying
to stop Nate Shepard of Duke.
So I think the wrong team's favorite.
I'll take Duke in that one.
And they got $30 on Air Force, minus 5.5, minus 110 against Wyoming.
As we know, any game involving a service academy team,
you got to look at how their opponent does defending the run
because Air Force obviously runs the ball a ton.
Top five in rush play percentage, and now they get to take on
one of the worst run defenses in the country.
Wyoming ranks 129th in opponent EPA per rush,
133rd in opponent rush success rate.
Air Force ranks inside the top five
in every rushing metric including first amongst all teams
in the country in rush success rate
so i think they're going to do whatever they want to do on
the ground i think they win and cover
and then i'm going to take an underdog Stanford plus seven
and a half minus 121 at home to NC State i don't think either
of these teams are good so i'm going
to simply back the home underdog that's getting over
a touchdown worth of points two teams are
104th, 122nd in net adjusted
EPA per play, 111th and 131st in net success rate. Not
really much to separate between these two teams.
So why is the home team getting over a touchdown
worth of points? I don't know. Give me Stanford plus 7.5, minus 121?
Those are my four bets for tonight's sports betting action.
Good luck to all of your bets. Gamble
or bless. We will see you back here tomorrow.
