🔴 LIVE - A THANKSGIVING MESSAGE - FATHER FISH IN THE EVENING 11/26/20 STREAM #16

Good evening. I spoke with Alex just a little while ago. He called me at home and I assured him I was not coming home this evening. But here I am, just for a brief message. I want to say, first of all, a very heartfelt Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends. I trust this day is one that gives you comfort, happiness, joy with your family, if you are able to be with them, and in whatever way you are able to achieve it, some genuine connectedness to those you are not able to be with. There have been lots of phone calls, lots of prayers, lots of thoughts, and that's part of the reason, the main part of the reason. I wanted to come on just briefly and talk to you about something very deeply on my heart. I've been with many of you now for about a year, a little better. This is perhaps the toughest year many of us have known for many, many different reasons. But what we are about to endure in the next few months may well be the most grueling, painful, and terrorizing time many of us will have ever lived through. We are about to be at war in our country with citizens pitted against each other. This is unavoidable. It is who we are. It is what we are about. And we, each of us, will choose sides. And we will not all here in the fish fam choose the same side. There will be bitterness. There will be hatred. There will be violence. There will be the extremes of human conduct. But we may all pray that in the end, our nation will survive intact with a constitution that defines us and the spirit that ennobles us. But what about us? What about you and I? You and me? What about us here in the Fish Fam? Some of my dearest friends here, Mary, Joey, Cass, and others, have been counseling me very, very firmly and very strongly to remain apolitical through all this, to not be harsh and strong in expressing my positions. I have struggled with their counsel, and there is, I believe, merit to their counsel and justification to their wisdom. So I will do this. I will have conversations off this channel with others in channels not connected with the Fish Fam in which I will express my sentiments and my beliefs in the strongest terms of which I am capable. But I will not do so here. I will seek peace here. I will not do so as an act of cowardice. I will not do so, and it ought not be assumed that I sacrifice my beliefs. I do not, and I will not. But I do see merit in having a place here where those of us who are in fundamental disagreement about political, moral, and similar issues may have an open conversation. So, I wanted to express that quite apart from the normal routine of our morning and evening chats as a way of moving forward. I know there's been concern, and there will be greater concern. I will, for my part, seek to be a peacemaker here on these threads. Though my heart may beat as a patriot and my head may tell me to stand strong in my beliefs, I will not express them and will seek in every way I can to be a peacemaker here among our fishy friends. Let us at least maintain this, that we can be at peace and in love with each other in spite of the great and tumultuous matters that will be swirling around us. I don't know that I really can achieve this, but it is my goal and my intention to do so. pray for me as I will pray for you, that we may maintain the spirit of peace, of brotherhood, sisterhood, of joy, of love, of deep true friendship here on these threads. Thank you for all that you have given me. Thank you for your time. Thank you for the love.
