That was the single craziest, greatest,
most dramatic, and exciting thing that I have
ever seen, maybe beyond even basketball, just in life.
And yeah, let's talk about it.
What's going on, everybody?
2-0.
I want to say that I hear myself at some of this,
that I am a YouTuber screaming about,
that was the craziest thing ever.
And maybe hyperbolic and overreactionary,
but at the same time, can I just...
Oh, first off, what's going on, everyone?

If you are new to this channel,
can I just say we're going to potentially hang that in the Mona Lisa?
Sixers come back from down 30
to just make absolute history.
I will run the numbers by you here
and let you know that that is the biggest comeback win ever for LeBron.
biggest uh comeback for philly biggest blow
and lead since the 96 season for both teams
cleveland being 155 and 0 in such games
and philly uh 0 and 156 in such games
nba teams in 466 straight and the sixers just pulled
that off now we gotta be some degree of
fair and balanced and talk about how the excitement
of coming back from that deficit involved us
falling into that deficit so overall if i'm going
to grade this one i'm going to give it a b given
that the first half was an f and the second half was an a minus
and so that aggregates out look i
heard the boos on the broadcast in the middle
of the second quarter richard jefferson's bald shiny
head was talking about are they going to set
the record for most turnovers ever and like like i was
I was ready to come on here
and be like maybe Jalen Hurts' medical snafu is not the worst
thing in Philly right now then uh we turn it around
and this the just insanity that was that
fire in that third quarter
and I would love to know did Nick Nurse who by the way Nick Nurse
blinged out like just got that chain now every game
is that going to be a new thing I love that
side note there but Nick Nurse
and game company did whatever adjustments they needed to do in the
second in at halftime and came out firing
so let's break down the total numbers of what we've got
going on where do we want to start you guys want
to start with the starters our main squad here
another night of 30 plus minutes for everybody Tyrese Maxey up
into the 40s and uh commensurately
scoring an absolute ton and I look I get talking about like
the the feast and the famine and Embiid
Van Gundy was talking about how he's like four for 20
to start the season he looks all out of sorts he
started scoring more in that second half
and so maybe some of this really was like just the rust
and the excitement of being home and the nerves
and it was trying to play
too fast and the Cavs are ready
okay, I can go for
extenuating circumstances and I can look around
and be like, this is a pretty
dang good overall
batch of numbers
you can ask for a little bit of improvement
obviously in everybody, but VJ
getting up into the double digits
was fantastic
the assist numbers
VJ, Maxey, LeBron
Jalen Brown all a fair amount of them everybody being
in the plus on the plus minus in aggregate
this worked out and i'm not a day where i
am really mad at this on the flip side looking at
the bench players same group ultimately did
not have Deandre Wade available tonight, Adem Bona some
moments were not that fantastic i
also saw a couple of steals and so i'll get off Adem Bona
Jabari Walker upped it from three minutes
to four minutes scoring once Anthony Simons was
certainly more quiet tonight in terms of being an overall bucket
and the plus minus not reflecting
very well on him but i was still happy
with him out there he was a good change of pace he's like
he looks after missing the entirety
of the preseason he looks healthy enough to be a regular
guy for me KCP with his 25 minutes
but you'll notice almost no scoring from these guys and
that it was a big a big change from game one to game two
so as we talked as i talked about
in the pregame having a bunch
of different questions about like what is this going to
look like is are we going to see uh different rotations
are we going to see LeBaron we didn't
obviously get any lead until the last couple minutes
of the fourth quarter so it wasn't time
to be changing around
and so i think that my answer is this starting group is fantastic
and seems to be gelling
and seems to yes there are some well you know those turnovers that
possession and they're still going to maybe
be some of that like we're only two games in
but effing lethal bro absolutely lethal best starting five
in the NBA able to overcome
putting themselves in a 30 point hole and uh
and win by a like not needing a buzzer beater
that being said i i will be i will be honest
and say that i i don't for sure know if that is 100
sustainable i just i just don't know
the overall shooting numbers ended up being okay this is where
like i i gotta i can't objectively even
though that was an amazing come from behind win i can't
objectively come on here and be like that was the greatest game
that the Sixers have ever singularly
played shooting 25% from three is just okay shooting 75%
from the free throw line is just okay we ended
up shooting better than the Cavs overall
so the defense stepped up and got better as the game went
on the turnover numbers that i thought
was that was really interesting a ton of them in the first
half but then ultimately only three of them in the second half
and we started generating them so
i don't know man i like
the we only got we barely got out rebounded the offensive boards
and defensive boards we trailed them by one in each of them
so like i i i i like this this is
one where i think in aggregate
when you really look at the if i was just doing box score Billy
and did had not watched this game i would have
been like well they're pretty close game man this
was kind of back and forth probably pretty even
and everything tons of points in the paint like
what a what a battle what a you know oh bro they've both
been a great game you couldn't tell
from that that this was something where this was a test
and they passed kind of vibes so we're gonna
obviously i mean we literally have 80 more
of these so we will get a larger sample size but
we're gonna obviously have to go a couple more games
to really figure this out in terms of how
this all works and we're going to need
to get Dean Wade back to help us have some relief and
there will be stretches where eventually we'll see Taco Fall
and we'll see Dom Barlow and we're
going to get like we will need to get to the bench
but i think that this has to answer some of the
initial questions about can these guys share
the ball can these guys mesh can these guys come
together and play as good a basketball
as we hypothetically think they can't because at two
and zero with the two being an amazing road win
that was a gritty come from behind 10 and then
winning at home after getting booed
in the second quarter i'm good enough to say that that all all
questions answered so let me know what you think drop
