Pumpkin Harvest Feast | Village Cooking & Rice Pudding

Today in the village I picked pumpkins from our garden, loaded them into the cart and brought water from the spring to wash them. My mother started chopping while I went to the forest for firewood and leaves for the cows. We lit the oven and cooked pumpkin with rice, milk, a little salt and sugar to make pumpkin rice pudding, plus a sweet pumpkin dessert on the side.
While it cooked we fed the ducks and goats. At the end I made tea and we ate together. Real rural life in the village.
