The Worst Night Tornado Of All Time | Greensburg EF5 Tornado Documentary

Nov 1, 2026

On the night of May 4, 2007, one of the most devastating tornadoes in American history struck the small town of Greensburg, Kansas. It became the first tornado ever assigned an EF5 rating under the newly implemented Enhanced Fujita Scale, leaving behind catastrophic destruction and forever changing the community. For this documentary, I traveled to Greensburg to visit the historical sites and interview those who experienced the storm firsthand. I found a beautiful town filled with incredibly kind and welcoming people.

This documentary breaks down the atmospheric setup, the tornado's devastating impact, firsthand survivor accounts, and the incredible rebuilding of Greensburg into one of the most resilient communities in the country.
