Might as well go live. Might as well as not. Mary will be with us in a minute. She and I have been discussing her betta for a while. She sent me a video that I doubt I can find. It's a beautiful fish. Let me look in my, I don't know where. I probably don't have it. It's probably not on my computer. Maybe we can get her to send it. Anyway, it's a very pretty dragon betta that has a lump on its forehead that she thinks is gradually getting worse. So we've talked about it. Yes, this will be the surgery. We're going to watch her as she glances at it, and then we'll see whether it's a parasite or a tumor. If it's a parasite, we'll try to remove it. If it's a tumor, we may try to excise part of it. We'll see. I don't know what she has for steri-strips, but we'll see. She's been getting a bunch of stuff together. Hi, J-Dog. So it'll be interesting in any case. We thought about doing this privately and then kicked it around and decided it would be something interesting for a group. So we're going to open it up and give everybody a chance to see the blood and the guts and the gore of a poor little betta, maybe being saved and maybe not. These things frequently don't work out, but these things frequently don't work out anyway, even if you do nothing. So we'll see. Now what? I don't need that camera. I put my screen in and it brought up something. Lee, whatever you're about to do, I invented. Well, this is kind of interesting. Lee has exposed himself, actually. If you watched his last video, you know exactly what I mean. He is naked as the day is long. Jaybird, if you will. He is devoid of coverage from his neck up, and it seems to have affected his personality. So I don't quite know what to make of all this, but I will be passing judgment on it by and by. We'll just have to wait and see to what extent he chooses to express this newfound courage that seems to have besotted him. Well, Holly, we'll see. How did the saltwater natural tank project go? Well, it went really well until I discovered this morning that I didn't put saltwater in it. I put fresh water in it because I thought the pipes were different. So I've been adding salt to it all day, and it's a little cloudy today. We'll see how it is tomorrow. I'm hoping it clears up and we'll be fine, but we'll see. What color is the lump? We'll look at it. We'll have to see. It's not a white lump. It's not like that. But it's part of the, it's just part of his scales. His scales have kind of erupted without really separating much from the tumor, which leads me to believe it might very well be a parasite. So I'm kind of hoping for that. he does have something else going on he has that dragon eye or dragon scale on his eye i noticed earlier he's not swimming as good and what it is is i think this scale has come down over his eye now so if anybody yeah i think that's probably what was pushing it down there i just can't believe that popped like that that was really awesome that is i mean yeah that was pretty good that was crazy i don't know if y'all got to see my shaking hands and my nervousness but he's doing fine so far so good put it that way all right i'm just proud of myself i figured out how to get on here you did good you did really well maybe this will get me over the the jitters and uh maybe i can maybe i can handle it from now on y'all have just helped me y'all have just helped me with my um my social anxiety therapy he's a pretty fish thank you hey i you know he's one of those you know you see all these beautiful mated pairs you get and everything and and he just he's just beautiful but he did have some funky scales on him from the get-go and um it was tiny and then all of a sudden just here recently which i was like you i figured it was a parasite or a cyst because it grew too fast right it it was like aquatic quest just jumped the shark i could even go there i'm just tickled to death that i just survived this and my fish did too good job you bet well thank you i know everybody everybody for watching was probably like oh lord help this girl i'm just quickly and easily I'm a junior, I'm a junior fish keeper, I watch all you guys to learn everything. I can't remember who said it. was it uh i don't remember that i can't remember or if they said it that way it started off when we were talking about um what was it getting dirty or something like that down and dirty yeah there you go what's he doing he's still good in here let's see oh yeah that should heal up look at that he looks great doesn't he he's spry again i and i should i just keep adding like things like this i've also got like some of the Melafix or Betafix stuff you know it's nothing crazy right the less you do the better that's what i figured i figured if i would um what are you feeding him he's uh well he's been eating this beta extreme food and then i also feed blood worms and um i've got some mosquito larvae uh in a bucket outside oh well give them the mosquito larvae that's perfect okay okay is the blood the the worm frozen or freeze-dried yeah the blood worms are frozen oh good that's that's what i recommend okay good don't do the pellets at all okay so don't give him i won't give him that anymore for now give him just the mosquito larva and the yeah and the blood worms that's perfect i wonder if now if this thing is popped if these other little i think that's what these little pockets all over his face is i don't see i'm looking like in the hole right now i do not see a parasite um you know yet that doesn't mean it's not one is it an open wound it's just a little a little hole it literally just popped like a like a blister to be honest see what happens okay where if something sticks its nasty little head out right I grab it with tweezers and help it along well hopefully i won't be as shaky i'm a shaking mess right now with all this other stuff but somehow somehow my shaking worked i zigged and he zagged and we got it you're you're great hey we love we love all y'all so much and now when you're talking to me in chat you can see what a goofy goofball i am y'all be knowing why i'm having why i'm struggling that's right hey i enjoy it i enjoy this community i haven't talked to people i've been pretty much isolated for a while and and it's i mean i'm here with my family but as far as you know the outside world we're just busy here with all this and and it's good to be able to talk to people and you got a lot of grandbabies yes sir i've got seven well Avram made seven i've got three here I've got a 10-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a year-and-a-half-old. Holly, it's been awesome going out to swim with the koi and the mean little bluegill Oh, what fun. I think one of the most delightful pictures I have seen of koi is the very, very large Japanese koi in Japan that are like four foot long and weigh probably 50 pounds Enormous fish They haul them out with their special nets. and dump them in a big round tub, two or three of them, with a little child, a little, like a four-year-old. And the little child keeps them calm. Amazing stuff. Lou Pink Kelly. I love Lou Pink Kelly. I've got lots of them. The trick is to get them big enough to really, really get their colors to come out. I try to get them from a private dealer than a PetSmart because the privately bred tend to be hardy compared to PetSmart. well it's really a matter of care they have to be kept warm and PetSmart does not keep their fish at a proper temperature; Rams have got to be above 80 degrees or they really languish and I do sell them and guarantee how much do you sell your blue fins for I don't know whether I'm selling them for five or ten dollars I don't remember but I'll send you some if you need them Row. They are wonderful. I love crib fry. You want to take them out after about two days or they will disappear. The parents will eat them after a couple of days. So be sure to pull as many as you want to raise, and then they will spawn again. Swampy's looking for a cool catfish. You know, I've got some, and I don't know what they're called. They're from India. They're not big. They're maybe two to three inches with a lot of gold in them. They look sort of like an African cat. They've got kind of the same body formation.
