Topping world news, the director
of national intelligence is warning Iran has, quote,
substantially increased efforts to target
U.S. personnel with potential attempts to kill
Americans reaching, quote, advanced stages abroad.
Fox News chief foreign correspondent
Trey Yingst is tracking the threat from Tel Aviv.
That's right. A new intelligence memo
warns that Iran is ramping up efforts to target U.S. personnel.
The memo was reportedly sent
on Friday by DNI Jake Sullivan to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The report said, quote,
the lethal plotting efforts by the Iranians against
U.S. citizens have reached advanced
stages in both the Middle East and certain other countries.
This comes as the State Department
pulled non-essential staff from Saudi Arabia
and is currently evaluating the staffing at
embassies across the Middle East.
President Trump told Fox News this morning he's considering his
next steps in the conflict with Iran.
Now my question is, do I make a deal with him or do
I finish him off. It's unclear how renewed strikes would
be different from what was already
conducted during Operation Epic Fury.
The Iranians maintain they are ready for what they call a
fourth war. It tells you who this regime is.
So where are we with it? The president mentioned
two courses of action. One, they're going to make a deal,
or two, we're going to finish it.
The problem with making a deal, they will cheat,
they will not comply. Right now,
the Israeli military is on high alert ahead
of the country's elections on Tuesday. There
our concerns about the possibility of an Iranian
or Iranian proxy attack during this sensitive
time period. The Israeli military is prepared both defensively
and offensively to have intelligence
indications that our enemies, Iran and its proxies,
may try to challenge us with attacks
aimed at disrupting the elections.
And I warn them, don't test us. Reports indicate the Israelis
and the Americans are mapping out plans
to resume major combat operations against Iran
after the midterm elections in the United States.

In other world headlines tonight,
more than half a dozen people are dead
after Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.
Several others are injured.
One of those strikes hit the Islamic University.
Others hit Gaza City, Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah.
The Israeli military alleges it struck a militant in Deir al-Balah
but did not immediately provide comment for other strikes.
