DC weather: Chilly Monday morning ahead of sunny, mild afternoon near 70 degrees

4:45, checking in with weather and traffic once again, and we're taking a look out at Prince William Marina, and Taylor joins us to let us know if you are waking up, what you're waking up to. Taylor, do you like scary things? Can your brain handle that? Not really. I'm kind of the same. You know, my brain was early on and said, no, thank you, this is not for me. But a lot of people this time of year, they're all in for it. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's the time of year for it, for sure. And I know a lot of folks are wondering what the Halloween trick-or-treating forecast is going to be, and just an early preview before we get to it it is looking pretty good so uh at least dry for now 47 degrees winds out of the north you can see a live look behind me in Leonardtown, Maryland where we do have some of that isolated patchy fog actually uh engulfing parts of Leonardtown so kind of the situation some of you may be waking up to this morning that patchy fog may impact your morning commute briefly otherwise it's not widespread temperatures right now we're in the upper 30s to 40s in some spots so going to be a chilly start to the morning for sure you'll need that extra layer but i do think we're in store for a little bit of a warm-up throughout the daytime. High pressure will keep us dry for another day, and I do think the entire week is looking dry as well leading up to the end of the weekend where we'll get some rain out there. 71 degrees for the high temperature today. Again, very seasonal. If anything, a little bit warmer than where we have been over the weekend for high temperatures. Same deal tomorrow. Going to be a nice day for outdoor plans, so we're going to keep that trend ongoing. High pressure will eventually weaken towards the end of the week and the end of the weekend, and that will bring back the mention for some showers. Looks like That's going to hold off at least until Sunday, potentially Sunday evening into Monday. We may at least bring back the mention for some rain, which we do need some. Seven-day forecast. We'll be dealing with the chilly mornings, mild afternoons. Again, some fog this morning. We're going to see a big warm-up happening towards the end of the week ahead of a cold front this weekend. So we could near the upper 70s by Friday. Nice-looking for Saturday. For Halloween, if you have trick-or-treating plans, it's looking dry for now. Maybe some rain showers heading into Sunday.
