'RHOP' recap: Ashley Darby and Robyn Dixon face off in heated argument

I'm Evan Riela. And ooh, GNA is having some drama. I know. And we have Robin, Robert, according to Karen Dixon to thank. Thank you, Robin, Robert. Robin, Robert. I know. Well, this is quite the drama for Giselle. And it's funny because we just got back from Bravo Fan Fest, of course. And we talked to Karen about this saga. here and she said it is hallelujah she's been waiting for Robin and Ashley to fight for 11 years nothing has made Karen happier than this drama but I think nothing has made Giselle more stressed and also what's kind of crazy is that Robin and Ashley just keep on tattling on Giselle I know it's kind of it really is honestly wild poor Giselle she's not used to this because she's not used to having to take accountability but I feel like despite this being a rare occurrence for her she's moving through it pretty gracefully and when faced with the the task of taking accountability she kind of is able to take accountability apologize to Tia and Wendy very fast very quickly right she did apologize to Wendy for calling her a scammer as a Nigerian it's so easy for people to label us that because that is a narrative that happens in our culture and it's just heavy i didn't think about that right okay and then when because i didn't realize the cultural implications of the scammer situation with the Nigerianism of it all like i feel like she under i feel like she understood just got it immediately once it was and then she wouldn't even say the word scammer she was like the s word also like the s word i can't say it i i think it was out of respect out of respect and um she was she also because then again i think it's out of respect and also she's like okay now everyone is talking about me so if i said wendy was upset that i called her a scammer and i apologize so she called it again yeah because that was even when robin was like did you say it to her before i talked to you she said i said it before right yeah i said apologize guys let's calm down yeah so i know it is really kind of chaotic and i don't i guess this has been brewing between ashley and robin for a minute i guess yeah it seems like they haven't with each other for a minute but ashley she clocked the time that Robin spoke about her on the podcast and I think that made her feel a certain type of way about Robin but she didn't say anything about it because I feel like Ashley's a she's someone who's able to like roll with the punches so she's like oh so they talk about me on the podcast whatever she didn't forget it no no no and Tia's not forgetting what was on the edit floor of Recently Shady. Her and Giselle really going at it with each other now. Yeah, and do you know what? I kind of, I don't want to say I'm like totally team Ashley because I also understand Robin's position, but I really understand what Ashley was saying. Robin brought it to the group, the fact that she edited out Giselle's shady comments about Tia's marriage to save Giselle from having trouble with Tia. But if she really wanted to save her, she just wouldn't mention it to others on camera also that was like Ashley was saying you brought it to the group and Robin was like who's the group and i think it was actually not wanting to break the fourth wall right it is now on the show right exactly now it's like now it's an issue but now we said it you made it an issue on camera and Tia would have never known and Giselle would have never been in trouble had you not done that so then it's like is that a betrayal on Robin's part to her friendship with or Giselle or i'm like is it Robin coming back to Potomac and being like i'm gonna be on the show well i know i'm like are you a friend of or are you holding a champagne flute Yeah yeah honestly she's active she is active and i am lol-ing all of us going down at alexis's birthday party i hope did he get cake at some point or did he get to blow out a candle or did anyone sing to him because i feel like he had no friends well he had a friend there a few friends came toward the end which made me feel good he was excited to meet the other guys in the group but then when you really think about the status of everyone's relationship there's who can i run to like there's really no guys to bring around except for josh sweet little josh and also now um stacy's now husband again or yes i'm saying part two was timo there he wasn't there but they just got engaged yes look i wanted to take the opportunity with him to show you that we all belong together and i wanted to ask you if you will marry me again what did you think of their engagement that was so delightfully uncomfortable for me right yeah because it was like the dog just appeared uh-huh and then had the ring tied around and then i'm like where did the dog go uh-huh there was no like no crying or excitement just like okay like it felt very i didn't feel the whole i wasn't feeling the love right exactly and the the restaurant was noisy but they were like sequestered in a back room it seems so there was a little bit of privacy i guess and her very good friend brought the dog and she's like wait how is i forgot her name let's call her brooke how is brooke here with the dog and then the dog came with the ring and then i don't know it was a little bit confusing but i'm glad she's happy it seems like this is something she wants yes oh and she wants a perfectly planned wedding and it seems like that involves not courtney who's your planner stacy anyone in mind i i have a planner she's um uh me very credible okay oh oh she is because that was what did she say uh someone who's credible who's credible and courtney is like so when you call me to ask if i plan weddings she's like to get to know you i'm like what happened between them right like why is that we're missing i guess we're gonna get more context about this because i'm like so much tension they have tension they don't seem to be getting along and it seems and also when we talked to stacy she couldn't really said one good thing about her besides that she's a god-fearing woman right yep which she is totally But I'm like, what about do you like her as a friend or something? She seems to not like her whatsoever. So I guess we'll learn more about that. I got to say, I don't want to speak too soon. I'm enjoying her. I like Kourtney. I think she's fun. I think she's pretty. I think she's bubbly, vibrant. I think she's a good housewife. Yeah, and we didn't really get too, too much of her last week. But what we got was her engaging with her kids. Yeah. And she was really cute with them. So fun. So I think she's fun. Her man is handsome. Yeah. What more can you ask for? I'm into it. And I do like that she needs a symmetrical house. Well, I will say. That one house, I was like, how do you even walk it? I didn't like the setup whatsoever. I thought the lighting fixtures were horrific. I love that Tia's trying to help her find a home that's good for her. But this was not it. I think, why do I feel Tia just picked this house? Because she's like, the natural lighting is, the natural light's amazing. And I want to sit down and talk to you. It was good for filming. The natural light was beautiful. But that primary bedroom, like in the weirdly shaped like corner angle situation. Where do you get the furniture that fits in that? I don't know. I did not like the house, so I don't blame Courtney for not buying it. What I did love is that Courtney is the reason we got to see Cynthia Bailey somewhere on the screen. I mean, to be honest. Now what else is going on? Atlanta, Beverly Hills, now Potomac. I love that Cynthia's going to be on. She's living the beach life. Every single Housewives franchise. And now the Traders too. Yeah, it's so good. It is phenomenal. And she always just brings such good energy. I mean, the girls were not vibing when she walked in, and then the vibe kind of shifted a little bit. I mean, they still got into it, but she just always like brings the mood up she really does and i do love too when they gave a little cheers giselle being like this has not been fun and wendy laughing that's why it's hard even when you don't i feel like even like the people who don't like Giselle just start laughing because she's funny she is funny she really is i think she's a phenomenal housewife i know not all the housewives agree with that especially Stacy who really is not messing with her at all i don't know what's gonna happen with you know the the Robin and Ashley of it all like I know it's as Karen told us Giselle has only one lap so there's room for only one lap dog who do you think will win the lap dog competition I think neither of them are lap dogs okay but if they were competing for her lap well one is her podcast co-host okay so you think Robin has the leg up but i feel like Robin doesn't seem to be liking the idea of being Giselle's lapdog because she's actually both her and Ashley i think maybe it's going to just be a structural change of maybe how their friendship navigations work where it's going to be like a triangle of maybe more accountability or call out right and i don't know how that will go yeah do you think one will win more than the other i don't know i i think i agree with you i think it's just gonna i think it's just gonna change and i think they're all competing to be the first to call somebody out now like everybody's like ready to point their finger like well you did this well you said this and they're all kind of like cool with it because i think they i mean they're not cool though because they're fighting but i think there's sort of like a baseline where they understand why each other is doing it because we do have a show to make exactly you know and that's what i also one thing about that three trio there will always be something someone says that's messy right exactly Robin and Ashley are funny you're messy no you're messy guys i think both of these things can be true everyone is messy in that trio which which we love i mean those girls make great television they understand the assignment and i just i really do love that Robin Dixon is back in the mix feels so right she's adding an energy i don't think an energy was missing last season but i think now that we don't have Cade we don't have Angel you know she's definitely filling a void and in a way that feels like very full and also it's kind of crazy too because people like no i usually no one can really go toe-to-toe with Giselle but i'm like now it's her best friend like kind of holding her to a different standard almost well i saw Giselle did an interview and someone asked her about Robin holding her accountable and she was like you don't understand like that's how our relationship is they just haven't shown that like that hasn't been the narrative that's been built over the years and she was like that's what I love about Robin is that she does hold me accountable so she was like the fans haven't seen much of that they'll see a lot more of it this season so maybe this is just how it's always been we just haven't seen it i love that yeah all right well we are gonna see i guess the rest of this dinner next week again i hope a cake appears because it is a birthday party right but who knows but happy birthday happy birthday alexis we'll see you next week
