Here's a look at our weather headlines.
Thursday, or actually I should say tonight through Tuesday morning,
we'll see just a few light,
spotty showers moving across mainly western portions of the area.
More clouds, and in general,
it'll turn more humid as we head through this week.
Rain chances will begin to increase early on Friday, and we could
still have scattered showers around during the day on Halloween.
81 the high today 61 the low averages for this time of the year 75
and 53 so roughly about seven
eight degrees uh above average for this time
of the year here's a look outside right now our
Dallas Tower camera bird's eye view 78 degrees Love Field
and at DFW 77 Alliance if that camera
were tilted a little bit more upward we could show you more
of the high cloud cover that's been
spreading in from the west during the afternoon hours.
78 Hillsboro, 75 Mineral Wells at 77 at
this hour in Bonham. And we're in the upper 70s in Canton
and in Mineola. So let's start with
a regional view here. You can see some
of these high clouds starting to spread in from the west
and southwest. So partly cloudy skies will turn mostly cloudy
as we head through this evening.
The rain that we're tracking at this point in time
is generally very light out towards Abilene.
It does get a little heavier on the east side of Amarillo right now,
but that's much closer to the lift.
The upper level disturbance, if you will,
that's currently located in west Texas,
and that is going to track off toward northwest through the overnight.
I think by tomorrow midday,
it should be up around southwestern Missouri.
So it's going to be pretty fast moving here.
here's a look at local radar
and nothing more than some very spotty light showers starting to
reach the surface out west of Graham right now
on Highway 380 there in Young County and if you do
live from Breckenridge to Graham up towards Archer City
and then a little bit later this evening into
Jack County, Montague County you'll have
a little better chance in those areas of a passing light
rain shower. Here's future cast showing some
of that very light spotty activity. We're talking,
I think, no better than about a 20% chance
as we head through Tuesday morning. And then as the
disturbance moves off to our northeast,
we should see a little sinking motion behind it, and that
will favor some of those clouds scattering out in the afternoon.
I think our skies will become
partly sunny Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday looks partly sunny.
The south winds will be increasing
the humidity around here with dew points rising into the 60s
then as we head towards late this
week we're talking friday
and saturday this subtropical jet stream the southern branch
is going to start to rev up a couple disturbances come
our way one likely on Friday and then there
could be a second one moving in here during the day on Halloween
and that will spell better rain
chances, scattered showers, maybe a few rumbles of thunder.
Here's a look at tonight's forecast.
Skies turning mostly cloudy, a few of those spotty,
very light rain showers. We'll put the
rain chance at 20 percent, 62 the overnight low,
up to 81 degrees tomorrow, 83 partly sunny on
Wednesday. Thursday, a slight chance of rain
as we head towards the late afternoon and evening hours.
That goes up to 50 percent on Friday.
Still a 40 percent chance of scattered showers on Halloween itself.
76 degrees. Don't forget to fall back.
Turn the clocks back one hour Saturday night
and then Sunday partly sunny and 81. Dan, thank you.
