Good morning, everybody.
We are just hours away from Game Four of the World Series. And there's
just one question, right? What do you bring into the watch party?
Because we know we're all having
Oh, yeah. So Taylor Reisemer has kind of hosted
a watch party for us here in the studio. She
brought incredible things from the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin,
but the perfect pairings and snacks
for wherever you plan to watch the game.
We know that these watch parties are selling out. So a lot
of people I think are just watching for free on Fox Six
and they're hosting their own get
together absolutely and you've got us covered
in that department absolutely so Wisconsin cheese is
really the perfect answer if you are looking
to hit it out of the park with whatever watch party
that you are hosting at home especially as we
are nearing the end of the World Series it's crazy
that we've made it this far it is so exciting
for the city of Milwaukee and of course for the
Brewers so Wisconsin cheese is just a way to kind
of cap it off where do you want to start yeah i'm
gonna say no you're fine Nick there's
so many places to start okay i'll start with the board
Yes, please.
So I have four different Wisconsin cheeses on that board.
And usually when I make cheese boards at home,
I typically start with three or more cheeses.
So just so you have a little bit of variety,
everyone has something that they will love.
So I have a Munster here from Henning's Cheese.
Munster is really soft, salty.
It is something that everyone is going to love.
So if you have kids coming, it's a great cheese to offer.
If you have some people that love spicy, on the other hand,
I also have Muscadet Mayhem from Meister Cheese as well.
So that is a Colby Jack that has three different peppers
that are infused into that cheese.
It has some heat.
It has some smokiness to it.
It is a great cheese to have on a board,
especially for people that love some kick.
How do you make your board look like this?
Trial and error.
No, I'm all error.
I never luck out.
Well, Dawn, do you feel like it's the layering
that I think we're responding to?
It's the layering.
It's so aesthetically pleasing.
Because I feel like when I do it, it doesn't have that.
No, it's aesthetically pleasing.
It's like there's no beginning and no end.
Yeah, so you just have to cut your cheeses in different shapes.
and that's really where you start.
So I always start with the cheese
and then I fill in the gaps.
So work from big to small.
So you can start off with bigger items
like grapes or peppers
and then you can kind of fill in the holes
with small pickles or even like craisins
or anything like that.
So the other cheeses I have on there too
are the Tomato Basil BellaVitano from Sartori cheese.
So that is a Wisconsin original
invented here in our state.
Which one is that one?
This one right over here.
So it is a blend of cheddar and Parmesan
and then they hand rub and dip
all of their wheels in different flavors.
so tomato basil is just one of them
and it is a great cheese everyone will love that one
and then of course in Brewer spirit I made
a brewer's baseball cheese ball as well
I just put some cheese spread into a bowl
and then cut up a red pepper and there you go you
have something that's super cool yeah
so that was super fun yeah this everything about
this is super fun it looks like that could feed
a lot of people absolutely yeah so at first I was
like looking at the snack mix here, and I was like,
I don't know that I'm seeing the cheese in
this, but now I think I am. Yeah.
So it's actually layered in the entire thing. You can kind of see
the little cheese pieces that are around here.
Super easy. I just combined some Corn Chex with
some pretzels and then of course some pecans,
mixed that all up into a big bowl, added some
melted butter and some seasonings,
and then layered in some shredded cheddar. So you just
throw it in the oven, super low temperature,
let it cook for an hour, hour and a half, and just
stir every 15 minutes until it's nice and crispy.
So this one is great because you don't need to
refrigerate it so if you are going
to the the Brewer stadium tonight to watch the game this
is a great one to take with you super easy
to put together good tailgating snack too absolutely and
then of course tailgating wouldn't
be complete without burgers these are burgers that are
infused with some sharp provolone from BelGioioso cheese in Green Bay
so i actually just cubed that
cheese put it right in the middle
of the burger patty threw it on the grill and then you make a
homemade aioli with some spinach
and then of course some fresh buns so another super easy recipe
All of these are just really great things
to please everyone in your family.
I have some picky eaters in my family, too.
Every family's got them.
So these are just really fun recipes to kind
of bring that everyone's going to enjoy.
They're clever, though.
Yeah, they're clever.
And you really elevate it.
Like, I think it would be so easy to just take a bag of Chex Mix
and just put it into cups and do that.
And that's really fine.
But you really came up with a way
to make it different, special, memorable.
Yeah, and Wisconsin cheese is always the answer.
Come on, now.
Okay, so what's at your party?
I know that you probably have
so much to choose from, giving your profession.
But if we go to your watch party, what's on your table?
I'm always bringing a charcuterie board.
Always going to bring a charcuterie board.
Everywhere I go, that is always the base.
And usually I add on one or two different recipes for that.
I think this year, for sure, the Chex Mix, just because it was so easy.
I love this recipe, too, because it made my house smell really good.
So that is one I definitely will be making again.
But you can't go wrong with a good charcuterie board.
Everyone will find something that they like.
You can layer in different things.
I went salty on this one, but you can also go sweet as well.
again it's really just up to your personal preferences
and you can a lot of times use
stuff that you already have in your fridge at home too
so it's really easy to put together
i was thinking like for october baseball yeah
halloween candy sprinkled out there you know what
i mean yeah give it a little festive
but this is wonderful i think two people love charcuterie
boards because i think deep down everybody likes
to pick their own like what they like and so that
allows people the freedom
to do that absolutely you outdid yourself where can people find um
more information on Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin
and also um where can people find this cheese
Absolutely. So our website, wisconsincheese.com,
has all of these recipes and so much more.
So that is a great place to start for inspiration
for any party that you might be hosting,
especially as we're getting into that holiday season.
And I really encourage people, wherever you shop, it does not matter.
Look for the Proudly Wisconsin Cheese badge.
So that is on every product that is made
in Wisconsin using Wisconsin milk.
So it's a great way to give back to dairy farmers
in our state, to dairy processors,
and just a foolproof way to know that you're supporting local companies
and, of course, enjoying local products as well.
You are the best.
You're the gift that keeps on giving.
You are.
This is gorgeous.
Well, thanks for having me.
Yeah.
Go Brewers.
Doing all of this for us.
It's amazing.
I feel very inspired, Dawn.
Yeah, I always wish you'd come to town.
