The Dogs Meet People at Day 1 of the Novi Pet Expo

Well, good, wonderful, beautiful audience. We're up. We're moving. I'm feeding dogs. She's finally getting a little bit of dog food mixed back in with her stuff. I put a little bit of her rice in Eleanor's food, and I forgot that Eleanor doesn't like rice. So she doesn't want to eat it. You don't have to eat the rice, honey. Pick around it. Jamie's sleeping bag spilled down. Here, we'll get those up. Yeah, Jamie just ran down with Greg and Dan to go load a little bit more stuff. I'm gonna feed these girls, let them outside, run down to help set up, and the show starts at 2 today. So today is officially the first day of the Novi Pet Expo. I feel like it's now a tradition to watch Eleanor try to run on this slidey floor until she gets to the grippy mat. And then it's like the amount of power that changes is pretty funny. I'm getting it. Hold on, hold on. We just ran into the boys and taking the stuff down. Might see him again out this other door. Oh, it's beautiful out today. Loud but beautiful. Oh, it's weird seeing them here. They're going to set up. I'm gonna let dogs out. I'm gonna walk around. They took a bunch of trees down too. So it's really loud here. That's all right. Look, we're here before everybody. We get sneak peeks of all the things. Sneak peeking at the Nova Pet Expo. Dogs makes everything better. Snacks! The big booth with all the good things. Oh, there's Whimsy's. I wonder if we should try Whimsy's again, girls. We haven't tried them since we got that bad batch. Ah, ah, ah, you can't steal nobody's coffee wood. Ah, ah, ah, you can't steal nobody's smoked bones. Although they probably do smell amazing. All right, I found her. Let's go. We're doing it again. Greg's setting up one of my new displays. I want the dinner plate flowers. Those were cool. Yeah, they, the, not petunias. I don't remember. Look at how cute this stuff is. Yeah, I was just gonna say the bridge is so cool. I have one that says love, uh, hanging on the wall in the bedroom. Not that one, but it looks just like it. Oh, these are fun. I might have to come home with us. That's pretty cool This I like these these are cool We're creeping the stuff since you know, we're here and we can and they're setting up booth. We did it I've only cried like three times this morning What did we do I did this to myself not really but like look she's everywhere and she's gonna be in the box like not in the box you're gonna be in that box as plushie form she will be in color this is out by the time everybody sees it as soon as I get back home it's it's going up right now yeah do you love it you should love it because you made most of it yeah yeah we all loved it we all opened it and loved it we thought What about it being watercolor, so you could just, just, oh, no, and then when you're done crying, it's like, oh, how beautiful. More than you just paint with water. Yeah, yeah, you just cry on it. That's what we should have done. That's so morbid. Alright, I got the girls. We're heading out of here. I'm taking Dan to the hockey store. We're going to the hockey store. Jamie's finishing up. Are you ready to go? And then you got to come back in a little bit, but we'll go now. I'm conflicted one hand i'm excited you don't have skates no no i have one hand i'm excited because i bought me a shirt that says hockey mom i don't know i love it i'm wearing a hockey it's totally you the skates that i really wanted those purple beautiful ones yeah they they're for french bluestone oh they're wide oh greg wears a double wide shoe triple wide shoe the other ones i tried on that are perfect for my foot i love them but now i have to like come to the come to the reality that that's what's right for me so is there a possibility that tomorrow we will see you skating around the convention because you're gonna come get them at nine o'clock in the morning if i come get them at nine o'clock in the morning to figure out the logistics of getting them where i need to get them to all right let's see stay tuned thank you from the hockey shop the guys just went down again to take a few more things down to the floor that we had forgotten here in the room i have my bag right there with the memphis plushie that's the last thing that wanted to go that i wanted to go down but that's coming down with us and i think i might feed the dogs i don't know i might bring them out at like four and give them a little break and feed them and see how they're doing but what do you think are you excited are you ready to do this are you ready to go to the pet expo yeah you seem to be feeling a whole heck of a lot better which makes me super duper happy yeah we'll see how today goes i'm not gonna lie i already went down there i already cried multiple times memphis is still on all of the stuff i didn't want to just remove her from everything it felt weird so she's still on all of the main banners as you guys saw all the main things so i've already had a couple of moments then i'm sure everybody that comes will as well it's going to be a very hard exhausting day but we're gonna make the best of it and we're gonna have fun and yes i'm still tired even though she slept through the night again last night so We're good there. She's so funny. The stove and the ice machine at the Hyatt. She's like, I don't, I don't particularly like it. Look at her look. She's like, I don't particularly like that noise that's happening right now. Can you get us on the elevator? Dad, get us on the elevator. Let's go. Get you away from the noise and down to the show with more noise. All right. We're at the Harry Houdini booth. Okay. Tell me if you recognize any of these names. Oh, you guys did so good. The dogs are already like, oh yeah, we remember this. This is great. We'll just stay here forever. Oh, I think Eleanor has found her happy place. Kira has found her happy place with Nick. She loves you, Nick. Every time. She's like, it's you and Eleanor apparently is Figuring out that she can be the center of attention now. There you go. Jealousy. Now you're the center of attention Oh my goodness dad put the Halloween collars on the girls. It might be a bit much. Those are the fanciest ones they have Oh, can I see them? They're like, you know, you can't see our pretty faces just our cool collars Why is there two? Why is there two missing? Because Greg and I had one But we didn't, we didn't disturb the crease. Oh my goodness. Look at them. No, look at how good they look Those look so good. I know. Sorry, I didn't mean to tease you. Those look amazing. They look jet black. Right? Want to do one? No, apparently I have to eat real food or something. We just discussed. Oh, I know, but Dan said I had to eat real food. Chicken and rice, who needs that? Yeah, donut. That's the answer. We're turning and burning. We're not really burning. We're just turning to go get food because this dog is going to go nuts if she doesn't eat. Come on, let's go. We're going. So we headed up here to give the girls a little bit of a break, potty break and a lunch break. And they just finished their lunch a little bit ago. We're letting them chill for a minute and now we're gonna take them down, go back to the grass. Kira, I would love it if you would actually go potty. Would you like the mini back massager? We brought, I brought the dog massager and the mini back massager for the peoples. This thing, this thing works great on shoulders. Holy cow! But I'm not using this one on Kira. It's a little bit much. She's doing pretty good today. She has been really, really good today. She's been doing really good. I would appreciate it if you... Yeah. I mean, I know that like... It's after lunch. It's time. You pottied a whole bunch of times in the middle of the night because you pottied during the day. It's... It's been good so far. We've cried a lot. You cried. I cried. Lots of people cried. I got to meet... Well, I've met him before but didn't realize it. the GTTSD rules, dude. That's pretty cool. I'm like, he said it and I'm like, is that you? And he goes, yeah. I'm like, oh, I love it. Makes me happy every time. I'm pretty sure we might get back down there and we might cry more because I know somebody else that's almost here. You ready to go see some more people? Yeah. You girls have been doing great. They haven't cried at all. Yeah. It's just us. They've been doing pretty good. Rock and Canines is over here and then Figured we'd take a second on our way back in Kind of check it all out. They always have really good sales on stuff at the store, the Premier Pet Supply store Yeah, it's so much. There's Fruitables. Did you grow some Fruitables? I Might have to come over here later. No, no, no, no, no. No, you can't take stuff from the baby You would I know Bring our emergency stuff, you have it all for us. Yeah, we still brought our own. Dan got a stain on his shirt. Look, stain and odor. You didn't even read the sign. It says stain and odor removal experts, Dan. It did not say Dan's shirt on there. It did not. It did not. Well, we could probably figure it out. Show me your stain. Dan got shawarma on his shirt. It was good. It was worth it. Most of it's in my mouth Well, that's good. Better than on your shirt, apparently. There's a home show happening next to the pet show. So, since we had a minute, we snuck over here. I want one of those at my house. You can have probably one at your house. Say that again. I want that on record. I mean, they probably sell them. That's cool. They even got like the meat stick pizza. They're normally at the pet show. Now it's kind of both. I think it's combination they've been out. Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell? Oh fun, we can pick our siding. I know, I thought that. I'm like, hey we did siding and roads and stuff. Well, we haven't done the siding yet. My favorite people from Alabama are here. Madison made it. Are you happy? Hi Madison! Everybody's here. It's a little bit of a slow Friday, but we'll take it. It's been kind of nice to be able to actually have time to talk to everybody that's been nice all right and stain yes is gone my stain's gone come on i love this that's crazy it worked right away we just blotted it off and then i live again i like this you should probably keep that in your pocket for the rest of the weekend there you go yes they're pretty cool over there too they're like you want a bottle just in case i'm like oh you know me well yes you need some stain remover it's made for carpets oh yes but carpets are fabric it does it does and obviously the they have pet fabric still over there there you go nice well i'm glad you got your stain off your brand new hockey mom shirt don't wear new clothes well then you couldn't wear any clothes i know yeah sneaking back down here look at you happiest girl on the planet it was really loud music in there so we were running out we're letting the dogs go to the bathroom and we got to figure out food but we left the expo day one we did it they're like you know what we didn't get enough snacks use this i think i'm gonna stand up here any way i want to but you did go outside and you didn't go potty and you did work all day you didn't work all day you know gotta feed the talent there you go we did it we did it we're at the end of day one that was hard but also fun but also hard but also it was harder than i thought it yeah it was as hard as i thought it was going Yeah, you kept saying that. I'm like, it won't be that bad. It was good. It was good. It was. It was good. That's what I keep saying. I'm like, I don't want you guys to think I'm complaining. I'm not complaining. That's not what this is. Like we're happy, but we're sad and we're allowed to be happy and sad at the same time. Two things can be true at the same time. Right. And they are. We're glad to see everybody. We're happy to be here, but we're also sad. Well, we figured out dinner. It's Papa John's, the works pizza and the garlic sauce. And then I also got some boneless wings, but they messed up my sauce Jamie kept seeing ads for this so you had to have it now. I need to know worth it Yeah, we haven't had Papa John's in a long time. Somebody looks like she's asking for pizza bones She's like I will even get up for pizza bone. Oh, you're you were sound asleep over there miss ma'am suddenly you're awake You have whatever you want She's like, I've done so much work today dad, just give me a pizza bone. Pizza bones! Not too many. Not too many. Yeah, maybe. Not too much yet. I don't know where to start because there's a lot of stuff. Can I remember who... That's from, that's from my favorite Alabama family. Okay, you take those. I'm taking, look at, look at. This is how I know, look at. Your Alabama family. i don't see those you can have the cinnamon rolls madison are your mom's cinnamon rolls as amazing as she said because i think we're gonna have to take one downstairs and put it in the microwave yeah like right now and those are right and these are amazing we already had one of those and then Nazrin sent or brought some toys i'm pretty sure that's who that was from for the dog this was from Carol and this was really good there's a butterfly in here you pull some of it out you don't have to pull all of it out you pull the butterfly out i'll pull this out the Care Bear is so cool this is the coolest Care Bear Canadian that's amazing isn't that awesome did you see that Dan it's a Canadian Care Bear hey bear yeah yeah i like the butter yeah and then these are from my Jeep sir oh yeah i saw the ducks different a whole bunch of different kinds It's a Wally duck, Nemo duck, there's a Dory duck, there's a Jesse duck, there's a Chewbacca duck in there. I guess I could give that one to Greg. I don't have a Jeep. Well, I guess you could have a Chewbacca duck. Isn't that cute? That is fun. And then here, if you want to pull those out, those are from Cyber Husky, so you can pull those out. Oh, this was a whole thing of stuff. This was from Madison. This was from Madison. Yep, because Madison, I have letters in here for everybody from Madison wow somebody brought a letter that we have we're just trying to go through some of the stuff i know aren't those cool so they're like garden stakes cyber Husky made these um and they're like you can use them in indoor pots or which that's what they'll be at my house everyone indoors but there's a Kira one in here too and then bully sticks these are from Nick, right? Bully sticks and treats and then Darren brought us a whole bunch of stuff Darren, I read your poem and if it sounds like I've been crying, it's because I have been. It's beautiful though, I loved it. And then treats, which is good because I ran low on these for the expo today. So and then this drawing, I showed this earlier when she gave it to me from Chris. This is amazing and then Sarah, Sarah got the sign that we sat there and stared at all day and then I'm telling the story. Yeah, go ahead So we sat there and stared at it all day and then Jamie looked up and it was gone. End of the day I'm like, oh I wonder if they sold that. I looked up and I went oh really, the only thing missing is that sign and we were gonna buy it. I'm like, oh hey Jess guess what, and then Sarah came over with the sign which was kind of perfect timing. That was pretty she's like, I was trying to wait till nobody was paying attention. Like, you got us, none of us were paying attention so that's some of the stuff that we got from today. Yeah, wanted to make sure to try to show it instead of waiting till the last day thank you all for all the love and cookies and sugar, well I think that one's done.
