AI GeneratedThe region is currently experiencing persistent wind advisories, high surf, and coastal flooding exacerbated by king tide season. While winds are expected to subside slightly inland overnight, coastal areas remain volatile. The short-term forecast predicts a mix of sunshine and scattered thunderstorms with warming temperatures leading into a warm Halloween.
It feels like we went through endless heat,
then endless rain, and now it's the wind that won't go away.
Yeah, we've had days and days of these wind advisories,
guys, but I think we're going to see
and feel it subside a little bit over the next few days,
but then we see another storm system moving in closer to the weekend,
so I know, we can't shake it.
I feel like summer doesn't want to let us go,
and the wind does not want to calm down either,
and it's kind of making matters worse with this king tide season,
of course, that we are now in,
fall into early winter.
It's really making for some rough beach conditions out there. That's
been a headline as well. Seeing some
of those showers right now on StormTracker radar. Seeing
one along the intracoastal pretty close to Titusville
and Port St. John. But for the most
part, it's been southeastern Brevard County
and northern Indian River County where we have seen
some of these coastal showers moving in.
Didn't look all that nice in Melbourne, sadly. Seeing a
couple just to the southeast of Micco,
one just to the southwest of Grand Valkyria. But for the
most part we are dry does not look the prettiest
though from our launch credit union camera out in
brevard county that's a live look
from port canaveral gray gloomy a little raw out there
with that onshore wind a little bit brighter
a little better looking at ocala as we zip on up
to marion county we've seen a mixture of clouds
and sunshine today that's kind of the theme
through the remainder of our early evening
but it is windy out there gusting up to 35 miles per
hour just about in Sanford,
33 in Orlando and still pretty strong in Daytona Beach beyond 30
miles per hour as well.
Wind advisories in play through 8 p.m. and that includes Orlando,
Titusville, Cocoa Beach,
Melbourne all in play through the remainder of our Tuesday. But inland
we do see and feel the wind subside a little bit through the overnight.
Not really the case
out on our beaches with gusts still between 30
and 35 miles per hour all thanks to this disturbance
offshore high pressure to our north acting like kind
of a squeeze play if you will all that wind
coming in from the northeast keeping
the waves large offshore especially the red flags continuing
to fly on our beaches for the high rip current risk we
also have high surf advisories in play
right through midweek and sadly with the onshore wind coming
at a king tide we can see the green
here those are coastal flood warnings
that are also now extended through the wee hours of our
friday so that's something you'll have to contend
with remember if you see any water spreading over
some coastal roadways don't try to drive through
that now overnight will fall back into the upper
60s and lower 70s a mild night a muggy night still could see
a few showers from time to time
especially out on the beaches.
But rain chances go up for the afternoon right
on home from school tomorrow,
especially might see a couple of sprinkles,
but overall brighter and drier to head into school on our hump day.
Now for the afternoon, for the most part,
we're not going to be seeing rain for all of us at all at one time,
but certainly scattered showers
and thunderstorms with temperatures in the lower 80s.
Starting to see and feel our temperatures come up a little bit
as this ridge of high pressure builds in.
Now, as we take you through time on Futurecast
with our Fox weather model, you can see tonight's conditions.
Spotty showers, especially closer to I-95.
They'll continue at times through the overnight.
Wednesday morning, a couple of showers are a possibility.
But then notice, more coverage of scattered showers
and storms through our Wednesday afternoon and evening.
And we're going to keep that trend going into our Thursday.
So a little more unsettled, a little warmer, and it looks like
this trend could continue as we head into the day on Saturday.
A few showers, couple storms are a possibility,
but notice it's going to be a warm Halloween,
lower 80s as you head out the door to trick-or-treat at 5.
There are 535 storms, 74 cashews,
temperatures back up into the middle to upper 80s Friday and Saturday.
A much bigger chance of rain for us on Sunday,
and we'll have to watch that system there.
Jack and Lou, that one might bring us some stronger storms,
so we'll have to keep an eye on that as well.
