The Terrifying Story of Indrid Cold

Indrid Cold, also known as the "Grinning Man" or "Smiling Man," is a figure from 20th-century folklore, often associated with the Mothman legend. The story originated in 1966 when Woodrow Derenberger, a West Virginia resident, claimed to have encountered a humanoid being of extraterrestrial origin who introduced himself as Indrid Cold. Derenberger described Cold as a tall, dark-haired man with a perpetual grin, who communicated telepathically and claimed to be from a planet called Lanulos.
