A Slow October Day 🍁🌻Elderberry Honey, Autumn Decorating & Cozy Evening Routine

Slow Living Daily

Join me for a slow and cosy October day at home in London 🍂 As the days grow colder, I'm embracing the simple pleasures of autumn, preparing homemade herbal remedies, decorating my little home with pumpkins and enjoying peaceful seasonal rituals.

In today's video, I'm making elderberry honey and thyme oxymel as part of my autumn herbal preparations for the colder months ahead. I'm also adding little touches of autumn to my home and sharing my recent peaceful evening routine with you.

I hope this video inspires you to slow down, embrace seasonal living and find a little everyday magic wherever you live, even in the heart of a busy city. 🍁
Thank you for spending another cosy autumn day with me!

●Nourishing tea blend

-2 tbsp dried nettle
-2 tbsp dried oatstraw
-1 tbsp dried Peppermint
-1tbsp dried elderflower (great for colds or when feeling under the weather)

●Elderberry Infused Honey:

Fill a jar halfway with dried elderberries and then pour over some raw honey. Mix everything together well and then add more honey until your jar is full. Leave in a warm place for about 3- 4 weeks and stir every other day or so. Once the time has passed, strain the honey through a cheesecloth and compost the berries. Take spoonfuls of honey as needed for sore throats etc...its wonderful for boosting the immune system.

●Thyme Oxymel:

Fill a jar 1/2 full with fresh or dried thyme.
Fill the jar halfway with good organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother, if available) and then the other half with good raw honey. Mix well and leave for 4 weeks or so. Afterwards, strain the liquid and dispose of the herb.Take directly by the spoonful or mixed with some warm water when feeling unwell with a cold for respiratory support. It can also help with any digestion issues
