Mayon Volcano In Huge Eruption! Thousands Evacuated!

James Kaufman, World News Report, today. Mayon volcano is now in full eruption. More than 15,000 people have been evacuated and tens of thousands of livestock. Part of the caldera has actually collapsed. We do have a video of that. It is now shooting out lava that's actually landing on the villagers surrounding the area, and they have been evacuated. again 15,000 plus people evacuated and tens of thousands of livestock have been evacuated from the area. Mayon is the Philippines most active volcano and it's actually again raining magma down currently this is a picture beforehand it's the biggest tourist attraction on the island in the Philippines all right we'll see the caldera actually collapse with part of it here again this has become a much well more severe situation it's been erupting since the sixth but it's been moved up to a level three event today can you say superior conjunction of Mars and Venus this was taken last night early this morning this is actually hot magma raining down right in front of someone's home very hard to escape i'm not quite sure uh how you shield yourself from this can imagine the temperature of these rocks here and look how far away the eruption is to have magma hitting this house it's unbelievable look at this unbelievable this is your eruption way over here so magma is raining down everywhere and they've evacuated a huge area that area is probably going to increase in size again we have our solar conjunction superior conjunction and we thought something like this might occur all right more than 49 PDCs have been recorded this morning alone a PDC is a deadly volcanic phenomena fast-moving avalanche of hot gases ash volcanic debris that races down volcano slopes originating from collapses of lava domes which is exactly what occurred here, eruption columns or lateral blasts. These currents can exceed 100 miles per hour, reach temperatures well over 1,000 degrees Celsius, 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, and travel numerous kilometers, posing the most extreme hazard to thermal injury, asphyxiation and impact making them one of the most dangerous volcanic threats. I don't know what we're going to get here but we do have live magma flowing down and shooting into the sky here in a moment this is where the caldera collapsed obviously this is the original caldera although both of them are spewing magma and lava surprised that this is what uh they decided to post based on what else i've seen coming out of this thing in the last 12 hours you can actually see rocks go right by the camera every once in a while actually flying through the air we'll go ahead and get y'all some magma movement and flow here this is the part i guess it's collapsed here it's like it's taking a breath all right you know i said that and it's gotten angry again so i was wrong i guess it comes in waves luckily there's well the volcano is around me and i've never actually witnessed one erupt in person so i am a novice here here are some quick pics of that portion of the caldera absolutely disintegrating on us see that side is gone nothing to play with here remember that superior solar conjunction simultaneous superior solar conjunction got some more recent picks here obviously it's hot up in there another still of all the events they say there's more than 20 different uh lava paths going down in different directions from the top of the volcano now we do have some more live action here folks i will say the most dangerous thing is magma is being spewed into the air. You don't really see it here, but you see it coming down on the homes, and we'll show you that one last time. The real question is, is how do you escape? This is all magma hitting. You can see how many miles we are away from the caldera itself up there. This is magma hitting the ground everywhere.
