I have over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube
and my channel is not monetized.
Let me put y'all down.
So yes, it's true.
I have over 100,000 subscribers and my channel is not monetized.
I'ma just get straight into it.
Let me take my glasses off.
If you have a YouTube channel, creators who are monetized already,
you know that Google owns YouTube.
Your Google account is automatically connected to your YouTube channel.
Your checks will say Google Adsense.
I had this Google account for literally years like and I just want this
to be kind of like a warning to all content creators who are on YouTube
so that this does not happen to you because I got monetized.
Honestly, I don't remember what year I got monetized on YouTube,
but it was years ago. Okay, it was years ago.
I had been monetized for a long time.
Before I even hit 100,000 subscribers, I got a new phone
and I had to transfer all my stuff over to my new phone.
And I literally got locked out of my Google account,
which means I got locked out of my YouTube channel.
I was locked out of my channel for months.
I was trying to get that in.
I was calling Google. They couldn't help me.
I'm pretty sure I was in college when I created the Google account.
I was literally crying. Like, this is crazy.
I built this channel up to so many subscribers organically.
they didn't really have like a specific team
for this they kept giving me the runarounds i started
to like lose hope because i'm like oh
my gosh i'm never gonna get back on my youtube channel because
if you get locked out they're not gonna help you get back
in and i was emailing them proof of my
google checks pictures of my silver youtube plaque
i'm like how you're just gonna not let me get back
into my channel that was so sad
so how i got back in was a backup email on my account you know it's
crazy i was also locked out of that account too
because i also had that account since i was in
college keep in mind i'm 30 years old now
so literally that was so many years ago so of course
i'm not going to remember that information i
was locked out of my white mail account and they had
it to where you had to pay 15 dollars
or something like that they wanted you to pay to get access to their
support team i was like this is crazy the address
on my white mail account was my dorm room from
when i was in college and i did not remember long story short i got
in touch with yahoo they told me
that i had to pay so then i paid this was months later
and you know what was crazy side note before
this happened every single month google was sending me emails
and they were like you won't
be eligible for monetization on an inactive channel
and i'm like literally crying because
i'm like no they had to do some weird things
like since they couldn't verify me through google
they had to send a email to my backup account
and so they finally sent the email so i'm thinking like
yes i have to get back into my account i was excited
but no we were gonna wait this 30 to 60
day time frame and then you're gonna be able
to get another email from us that you can get back into
your account and so i was like oh gosh like why
are they doing this how are they doing this when
it got down to the last day they sent me an email
and i finally got back into my account but by the
by the time i got back into my account
they had already demonetized it
i sent so many emails still trying to get into it
because now I'm in my account.
So there's no reason why you guys can't
support me if YouTube supports me.
Or you're not supporting me.
They were not helpful.
I don't know. That was, it was giving shade.
And to this day, right now,
my channel is not monetized and I'm going to include a screenshot.
Like,
dang.
It's not fair, but I'm not the type of person where I'm going to like,
okay, I am going to cry about it.
I'm going to cry about it first, but then
I'm going to do something about it.
I have a plan to revive my YouTube channel.
This is me publicly documenting my comeback because she is coming back.
She's going to be back.
Trust me.
Yeah.
