At least 30 dead after high-speed trains crash in Spain

Here at the live alert desk with the latest coming out of central Spain, at least 30 people are dead after this situation right here. Two high speed trains collided in Spain. We're learning more about what happens. A high speed train slammed into the rear of another train that had stopped derailing two cars. You see them right there. Both were headed in the same direction towards Sevilla, which is in southern Spain. The trains were carrying more than 500 passengers. The Spanish health ministers told the local broadcaster, excuse me, that a emergency workers were focusing on rescuing survivors and bodies from those two most damaged train cars, which you see right here. A military emergency brigade was deployed to help emergency services, firefighters and police in that crash site. And you see all of that response. Again, at least 30 people are dead and that number is expected to grow. The high speed line is now suspended. And I want to show you a video from inside one of those train cars looking over the debris field. This would be looking over at those two cars that were derailed after one train slammed into another. This is the third train crash this year in Spain. In January, two high speed trains collided near Adamus, which is in southern Spain, killing more than 40 people. A commuter train near Barcelona derailed days later. Again, this is a live look or this is rather a look right now at the situation in central Spain after two trains collided. We'll continue to let you know what is coming out of Spain as soon as we get it. We'll send it back to you, Nicole.
