I Hiked Japan’s Most Spectacular Mountain Trail 🇯🇵
Join me on an unforgettable *3-day hiking adventure through the Japanese Alps 🇯🇵* as I take on the spectacular Panorama Ginza Trail, one of Japan’s most beautiful mountain routes. Starting in Matsumoto, Nagano, I’ll make my way into the mountains to explore breathtaking alpine scenery, dramatic mountain ridgelines and incredible panoramic views before eventually descending into the stunning Kamikochi valley.
Along the way, I’ll experience traditional Japanese mountain huts, enjoy authentic Japanese meals, meet fellow hikers from around the world and even stop for the occasional cold mountain IPA. Sleeping high in the mountains and waking up surrounded by some of Japan’s most spectacular scenery makes this a truly special adventure. If you love hiking in Japan, off-the-beaten-path travel, mountain adventures and discovering the country beyond its famous cities, this journey is for you.
But hiking the Japanese Alps in October comes with its challenges. Over three days, I’ll tackle more than 4,000 metres of cumulative elevation gain while navigating steep mountain trails and hiking through active black bear territory during autumn.
