Turning Autumn Leaves into Tiny Paintings ✧ Relaxing Watercolor Tutorial

Let's slow down a little and enjoy a relaxing leaf painting moment together 🍁
In this easy watercolor tutorial for beginners, I'm painting four tiny autumn leaves inspired by real leaves I collected during a walk. I'll share simple watercolor techniques, from blending beautiful autumn colors to adding delicate details and creating realistic miniature paintings. I've been so busy with my daily painting challenge lately that I almost forgot to enjoy autumn, even though it's one of my favorite seasons! So I went for a little walk, picked up a few beautiful fallen leaves, and decided to turn them into tiny watercolor paintings. Sometimes, a simple painting idea is all we need to slow down and notice the little things around us. I hope this relaxing paint-with-me gives you a little creative inspiration, whether you're just starting with watercolor or simply looking for a peaceful moment in your day 🌿

🍂 Painting Tiny Watercolor Leaves with this Step-by-step List:
1. Start with a light wash.
Use diluted watercolor to paint the basic shape of your leaf.
2. Blend the autumn colors.
While the paper is still damp, add yellow, orange, red, green, or brown. Let the colors blend naturally on the paper.
3. Build up the colors. Add deeper shades to create contrast, keeping some lighter areas visible.
4. Add the veins, stems and other little details.
Use a fine brush to paint the stem, delicate veins, and darker or slightly damaged edges.
5. Finish with a soft shadow or background.
Add a very light wash around or underneath the leaf to help it stand out.
🌟 My little tip: Don't worry about making your leaf perfect! Those uneven edges, unexpected color blends, and tiny imperfections are what make each leaf unique.
