Hundreds of miles up top into space,
where there's been a lot going on all day long now.
Take a look at this spacewalk here that we've been watching.
These are, again, live pictures.
That's one of the astronauts getting suited up here.
3.08 p.m. Eastern time with the repressurization
of the Quest airlock to wrap up a 7-hour, 11-minute spacewalk.
All right, 7-hour,
11-minute spacewalk.
And I believe this might be the conclusion of that spacewalk.
It's historic because the Canadian and U.S. space agencies
stepped outside the International Space Station today.
This is the 285th spacewalk at the ISS and the 100th conducted
from the Quest airlock without a space shuttle present.
During the nearly seven-hour excursion, the pair installed
and rolled out a solar array to boost power to the orbiting lab.
Flight engineers are assisting with suit up and unsuiting or desuiting
and operating the two robotic arms through the operation.
So you're watching really live history
in the making here as the astronaut retreats
from the spacewalk
and prepares to take the spacesuit off as they conclude.
There's two astronauts there,
one on the right and one on the left, and they're just
taking one of the gloves off there, both of them, actually.
What an operation, so intricate, so complex.
You have geniuses up there on the International Space Station
really doing what no other man knows how to do
when you watch these guys out performing.
So we'll keep an eye on that for you.
