Scariest Fighters Right Now
Oct 30, 2026
Hey, it's Halloween, which means you're
probably trying to get spooky right now.
So turn the lights off, lock the doors,
and pray to whatever deity you worship
that you never stand across the octagon from these fighters,
even in your wildest nightmares.
If Dana White calls you to show up
as a late replacement to fight any of these guys,
just break the phone in two.
Just set it on fire and get as much distance from it as you can.
The UFC right now is crawling with monsters,
so let's see who's the scariest of them all.
Oh my god!
I'm Tommy from MMA on Point, and make sure to check out
the official UFC gear through our link in the description below,
using code POINT10 for 10% off all products in the EU store.
And rep your favorite fighters with the UFC store.
And this is a very special Halloween-themed
The 10 Scariest Fighters in the UFC right now.
Since we're all having a good time,
I'm going to assign a monster to each fighter.
Number 10 is the werewolf Joe Pyfer.
Every werewolf movie starts the same way.
Normal-seeming dude, bit of a temper,
a bit wolf-like already, kind of, actually.
Something sets them off, full moon hits, half the village is missing.
That's Joe Pyfer.
He's killing villagers.
And the full moon for Joe is basically literally anything.
The man gets annoyed by everything.
Suck it.
**** you.
I'm gonna remember your motherfucking face now.
They can all suck a dick.
I can't stand that ----.
When he got food poisoning in Mexico,
he went on a full-on rant about how he's never going
back to Mexico ever again.
**** that country.
I will never fight there again.
Shit hole, not going back.
Don't care if that's offensive to you.
Apparently, he's never heard about the protocols
that people take when they travel to places like Mexico.
Fans called him out on what he said,
he got annoyed by it,
and then went on a rant about how all the fans are casuals.
The problem is everybody's so sensitive,
and if that offends you...
Like I said on Instagram, suck my dick.
Like, that's just how I feel.
Against Israel Adesanya,
he posted an AI picture of himself in a cop uniform,
putting Izzy in handcuffs.
Fans called him out again.
Same outcome.
The guy has a short fuse
and an even shorter list of people he hasn't beefed with,
which is why he's perfect as a werewolf,
because he really does seem to be fueled by all this stupid ----.
The pent-up anger is used to viciously decimate his opponent.
He's got 16 wins with 14 of them finishes,
and some of these finishes are...
It's devastating.
When he knocked out Marc-Andre Barrio,
it looked like the power bar was never getting recharged again.
And what fueled that fight?
He was annoyed that he lost his previous one against Jack Hermanson.
I don't know about being like Joe Pyfer,
but you should definitely not piss Joe Pyfer off.
And he's already annoyed with his next opponent.
He was supposed to fight Bo Nickel in December.
It got pushed to February in Cleveland.
So he's pissed off about the date change.
Good luck, Bo.
Have fun with all that.
Number nine, the monster under the bed, Walter Walker.
I'm sure you remember being a kid.
We all remember being kids at some
You wake up in the middle of the night after a nightmare.
You're laying there in bed.
You're scared.
What do you want to do?
You want to run to your parents, right?
But you're not getting out of bed because
every kid knows there's a monster under the
frame.
It's going to grab your ankles and put you in a heel hook.
Yeah, you should have gone to jujitsu as a little kid.
Then you wouldn't have been in this mess.
Walter Walker is that monster,
except he really is putting people in heel hooks.
He's laughing the whole time.
Four straight UFC wins by heel hook.
Nobody has ever done that.
It tied him with Husamar Paul Harris.
For the most heel hooks in UFC history, another monster.
in real life, and if you are getting compared to Baharis,
you know you are in scary company.
Then in July, against Thomas Peterson, Valter goes for the heel hook.
Peterson knows that jiu-jitsu only works
if you believe in it, and so it doesn't.
So Valter says, you know what, fine,
I hope you believe in calf slicers.
And apparently he does, because
that's five straight first round submissions, all of them leg locks.
Against Louis Sutherland, he broke his own fibula 40 seconds
into the fight, and he still heel hooked him.
That is a monster.
Do not get up to take a piss tonight, because Valter Walker is...
He's under your bed, and he's gonna jack your ---- up.
Number eight, we're going from generic monsters
to IP monsters, Chucky.
Use Reed Bell Garvey.
Look, Chucky's whole deal is simple.
He's the soul of a killer that gets stuffed into a doll
that has an adorable little baby face.
We have one of those in the UFC right now,
and the killer that has possessed him is Alex Pereira.
Imagine you are a six-foot-tall middleweight,
On an eight-fight winning streak,
and you're standing across the cage against a UFC debutant.
Your chances are great, right?
Unfortunately, you are Azamat Bekov,
who is about to fight Usri Belgharvi.
But you aren't actually just looking at Belgharvi.
He's got a whole family of killers in there.
Alex Pereira, Glover Teixeira.
Good luck, dude.
And unfortunately for him, there was no luck found that night
because Beikov got slept in the third round.
And this is no short-ass Chucky doll.
If a bunch of Chuckies got together
and formed like a ******* Power Rangers Zord Chucky, it would be Usri.
This behemoth has a long kick-
kickboxing career behind him,
including time in the ring with Poiton himself.
Now he trains with him, same stance, same patience,
same habit of walking you down and putting people face down, ass up.
No pause whatsoever. None.
Three UFC fights, three finishes.
Yes, he's 34, which is ancient for a guy that's new to the UFC.
But Chucky's been around since 1988
and he's still killing the ---- out of people.
Age doesn't matter when you're possessed. Everybody knows that.
Number seven, the dancing clown himself, Pennywise, a.k.a. John Silva.
John Silva's not Pennywise because he
is some sort of shape-shifting eldritch being
whose true form is beyond human comprehension.
It's because he's insane.
You don't know who I've been, Luke.
You don't know who I've been!
One moment he's grinning and dancing,
then he gets all serious and scary,
and then he's dragging kids down to the sewers of Derry,
not John Silva.
To be clear, he does not drag children down
into the sewers of Sao Paulo.
But he is 100% a grade-A lunatic.
This dude barks at his opponents as a personal, emotional outlet,
which is actually a tribute to his late brother
and a nostalgic nod to the family dog from his childhood.
Actually kind of moving.
At least in tribute, in practice,
he's barking at the unconscious body
of Professor Flat Earth Bryce Mitchell.
And whatever he does when he hangs from the cages,
screams is just unhinged.
The constant switch between crying
and then being dead serious, or
vice versa. He's screaming at UFC
titles, and he's a madman in the cage as well.
It's all gas, and it's all fun for him.
He's constantly moving forward. I would hate
to be across from him in any situation.
He's riding his opponents like
surfboards, guys. He's actually perfect
for Pennywise, because he is breaking reality
with how ridiculous his behavior
is. The dude is scary.
Number six, The Shape. One of
my favorite villains, Michael Myers.
And he has to be Michael Morales
because they have the exact same name and a very similar vibe.
Michael Myers doesn't run, doesn't talk trash, or...
Talk at all.
Doesn't post AI pictures of people in handcuffs.
He just walks towards you, grabs the nearest kitchen knife.
Next thing you know, you're a jump scare stuffed in a closet.
That's what Michael Morales does.
And no wonder if the dude
is a welterweight walking around at 230 pounds.
That is cosmic levels of weight bullying.
But you know what?
He makes weight, so it is what it is.
Not my problem, but it is his opponent's problem.
19 people have tried to stop Michael Morales, and he is still standing.
Of those 19, he's kitchen knifed 14 of them.
Not.
Literally.
But pretty close.
And just like Mike Myers, he has a habit of disappearing.
He hasn't fought in the UFC in almost a year.
But hey, that's about to change
because he's in an interim title fight at 336.
Yay, more interim title fights.
Yay.
Number five, the zombie, Joshua Van.
Now, this is not traditional zombies like the old school ones
that your grandma with a walker could outrun.
Oh, boy.
These are the 28 Days Later style zombies
that have ruined that entire genre.
Now all zombies sprint full speed,
they're starving, and they never ever take a step
backwards, just like champion Joshua Van.
The dude fought four times in 2025,
that's four times, two of those were three weeks
apart in June, came in as a late replacement
against Brandon Roybal, beats him, then
he wins the title in the weirdest finish possible,
with Pantoja doing his own body horror.
Which had fans up in arms, understandably.
Hey, up in arms, get it?
So Van was getting dogged a bit,
but you never tell a starving zombie
they didn't earn their meal.
In his first defense, he stopped Tetsuro Taira,
then he ran it back with Pantoja in September
and beat him clean,
which has thoroughly shut everybody up, and rightly so.
Constant forward motion, constant boxing pressure.
If you want to stop him, just like all zombies,
you're going to need a headshot.
He's 24, second youngest champion in UFC history
behind only Jon Jones,
and the first UFC champion born in the 2000s,
What in the hell?
The flyweight champion of the world is younger than Shrek.
Zombie Van better be careful, though.
He's got a hunter who is coming to take his diapers alive.
Joshua Van is going to take your diapers alive.
Number four, everybody's favorite unsupervised swimmer,
Jason Voorhees, represented by Marab Dvalishvili.
Jason gets stabbed, shot, drowned, electrocuted,
chained to the bottom of the lake,
and eventually sent to space, and it doesn't matter.
He keeps getting back up, and he keeps going for the kill.
Merab is the closest thing the UFC has to Jason Voorhees.
He won 14 straight, defended
the Bantamweight title three times in 2025,
did not get tired or slow down ever,
and even when he's losing, he doesn't stop either.
At 333, he attempted 58 takedowns.
Now, yeah, he didn't land.
Most of them.
But you've heard DC talk about
the physical exertion it takes to attempt a takedown,
and the mental fatigue you get when it's unsuccessful.
None of that applies to Marab.
His cardio is his machete.
And it worked for him until he met his final girl.
And that final girl is Pyotr Yan.
At 333, Marab won the first two rounds,
and then Yan stuffed all 39
of his takedown attempts in rounds 3, 4, and 5
to take the trilogy 48-47 on all three cards.
Across their three fights, Marab shot on Yan 136 times.
136.
This marks two losses in a row for the first time since 2018 for Marab,
and I can almost guarantee you, he worked out the day after that fight.
He's working out right now as you're watching this.
It doesn't matter what time you're watching this.
He is working out.
And probably the best comparison to Jason,
there's 12 Friday the 13th movies.
He just got a new TV show.
Jason Voorhees and Murab Dabalashvili always come back.
Number three, who do you think Armin Saryukyan is?
I mean, come on.
Obviously, he is the boogeyman.
The boogeyman's whole thing is that you never know where he is.
Is he in the closet?
Is he under the stairs?
Is he standing right behind you as
you're watching this video right now?
Oh my God, look behind you.
That is Armin Saryukian in 2026.
By the way, can you imagine if Armin was actually behind you?
Like somebody who just happened
to be right next to him was watching this video.
I hope it's Dylan Danis.
Harmon is the definition of unpredictable.
Why would you punch a fan during your walkout at UFC 300?
UFC probably had to pay a big ******* fee
for the fella not to shoot him.
Why'd you pull out of your fight with Makhachev the day before?
Allegedly a Nina Tromba video, apparently.
I hurt my back because of you.
Isn't that interesting?
And this year, he's popped up literally everywhere.
Freestyle wrestling in RAF,
where he's 8-1 and has beaten Uriah Faber and Tony Ferguson.
He's submission grappling against fitness influencers in Armenia,
choking out Mohammad Makaev in a grappling match.
I'm sure Dana loved that one.
Then in September, he finally graced us
with his presence in the cage again
and folded Mauricio Hufi with elbows in the first round.
Six straight UFC wins, four finishes in those six,
and then last week at RAF, he took a swing
at Dylan Danis at the press conference,
slapped him in his match, tech-falled him 10-0 in about
80 seconds. Armin Saryukin is becoming my favorite person
on the planet. He's already got another
match booked against Neiman Gracie.
Nobody knows where Armin's gonna show up next, and nobody wants
to fight him. Dude is textbook boogeyman.
Number two might be the most fitting one ever. Leatherface?
Just take a guess.
Who in the UFC would you call Leatherface?
None other than-
Mm-hmm.
Before the White House fight, Ilya Teporia of course put out
that infamous video of him laying a rose down for Gaethje.
He even celebrated the victory before the fight even happened.
But hey, undefeated, pound for pound king,
a 6-1 favorite, I'd have been laying roses down too.
But then Gaethje cut him over the eye in the first round,
survived getting nearly finished in the second,
and then he just ran the chainsaw.
By the end of the third, the doctor had almost waved it off.
By the end of the fourth, Teporia's face
was so swollen you could barely recognize him as Ilya Teporia.
Gaiji was burying me.
...into his ribs, and Ilya's own corner threw in the towel.
One of the biggest upsets in UFC history.
The dude is a butcher.
Almost all of his opponents have left...
the cage with fucked up faces,
and some with fucked up careers. Michael Johnson,
Edson Barbosa, Michael Chandler, Rafael Fazeeb,
Dustin Poirier all have losing records after
losing to him. James Vick, Donald Cerrone,
and poor old Tony Ferguson didn't win another fight
after losing to him. If I am Ilya Teporia or Patti Pimblitt,
I'm genuinely concerned right now.
You very well might survive a Justin Gaethje encounter,
but just like Leatherface,
you're never going to be the same.
Just like Sally at the end of the original Texas Chainsaw,
Crying and laughing in madness as
As she rides away in the bed of a truck,
while Justin Gaethje does his chainsaw dance.
And finally, number one, one of my favorite villains,
Freddy Krueger, also known as Carlos
Protes.
I mean, his nickname is the Nightmare.
It is just too fitting.
He got the nickname in Brazil from promoters,
who said that finding him opponents was a
nightmare, because nobody wanted to fight him.
That's a fantastic reason for a nickname
that on paper sounds pretty generic.
I think the obvious comparison to make is the claws,
of course, and how Carlos carves
his opponents up, but also...
So, of all the slasher villains, Freddy gives the least fucks.
And it's not even close.
The dude, half the time, is just goofing off.
He's just doing it for the ha-has.
Protests smokes, drinks,
looks like he'd rather be at a barbecue than any kind of training.
But of course, just like Freddy, he's super dangerous.
The dude's knocking out former champions for fun.
Seven UFC wins, seven knockouts, a bonus in every single one of them.
He had Leon Edwards airborne when he knocked him out.
Then in May, he went to Perth,
Jack Della Maddalena's hometown, and absolutely carved him up.
Slashing elbows, knees, three knockdowns,
outlanded him 104-41, and then stopped him in the third.
That was the first time for JDM
in his entire career, but for his debut.
And that was one of the worst beatdowns
a former champion has ever had in the UFC.
Couldn't have been more of a horror movie for Jack Della.
Now Carlos is facing Michael Myers next at 336 for that sweet,
sweet interim gold.
Two slasher legends going at it.
I have no idea who wins that one.
If it were Freddy versus Michael,
I mean, obviously Freddy,
Michael's not gonna understand
that this guy can kill him in his dreams,
but the real fight, I have no clue.
I just know that a monster will be waiting
for Islam Makhachev when he finally comes back.
And that was our spooky little fun, huh?
This video was actually written
by our social media manager, Oven.
Follow his socials and our socials because he runs them.
The video was edited by the amazing Max Randall.
