An Acoustic Guitar Masterpiece - Casimi C2S

It's a great pleasure to share the sublime work of Casimi Guitars on this channel. Truly singular instruments, from my point of view. An African Blackwood/Moonspruce build such as this C2S is about as resonant of a flat top as one could ask for and I have to admit I was choked up a time or two while recording these! Stunning tone and sustain.
I don't take for granted that this is the 4th Casimi I've played in this tonewood/body configuration, here at Dream Guitars. The C2S is my personal favorite model from them, and this happens to also be my favorite tonewood combo they work with. It is truly "piano-like"--a term thrown around endlessly in the boutique guitar world.
"Haunting" is another fatigued phrase for resonant, dark-sounding guitars, but I believe it should only apply to guitars of this caliber, of which there are very few.
To make an attempt to put the sound into words: The low overtones are smooth and pleasantly soft to the ear, the midrange is wide open thanks to the 12-fret bridge placement and the trebles have a vitreous buoyancy that is remarkably pure in the middle section of the fretboard.
Matthew and Matthias' guitars have always felt creatively-liberating to me. They feel "alive" and perfectly set up for modern fingerstyle guitar play. I always wish there was more time to spend with them. This build is passing through Dream Guitars on it's way to the new owner and I was very happy to have time to record these 3 takes.
Thanks for watching,
