The New UFO Insider: Congressman Burlison's Secret Hire
Oct 30, 2026
For more than a year, David Grush has
been the man inside Congressman Eric Burleson's office
helping chase the crash retrieval story.
And now Burleson is preparing to bring in someone else.
In a new conversation with Timothy Alberino, he dropped one clue.
And it narrows the list
to people who have already sat across from one
of the most connected investigators in this field.
That is a great idea. Get that guy in your office.
Hey, wait till you see who we're going to hire next.
Can you say, can you say, well, the ink is not dry yet.
So I don't want to say until
we get the ink dry. Well, we'll have to, we'll,
we'll, we'll stay tuned for that announcement.
Let's just say, um, he's also been on Ross Caltar.
Burleson believes this person can send
the entire investigation in a new direction. And
the reason he needs one is something he has rarely admitted in public.
The witnesses who once trusted Grush have gone silent
and they are refusing to speak to Congress.
In the same interview, Burleson revealed what officials now concede
from the flags placed on Grush's security clearance.
What was waiting behind door 18 inside
a sealed building at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,
the vanishing account that delivered the Yemen orb video to him,
and the group in Washington he believes
is quietly killing the UAP Disclosure Act.
Hey, you followed yourself.
I'm Christina Gomez and this is your UFO News Update.
So Ross Coulter has interviewed dozens
of whistleblower scientists and former officials,
but online speculation over the last few days has
been pointed to Jake Barber,
the former Air Force helicopter pilot
who described a crash retrieval mission to Ross
on News Nation.
Now, nothing has been confirmed and Burleson has not named anyone.
It's also worth remembering that back in early 2025,
Burleson told Ask a Poll he wanted to hire both Grush
and Lou Elizondo to staff a proposed select UAP committee,
an idea he explained the Speaker's office turned down.
And you know who's living in Washington, D.C. right now?
Luella Zondo. What Burleson did make clear
is how big he thinks this hire really is.
Very interesting to see that unfold.
And it's going to change the investigation in a whole new path.
Wow. Well, I'm very excited to see what's going
to unfold with that. I mean,
that's the kind of action that you need.
I mean, you went beyond just doing a hearing.
You brought the guy into your office.
So why does the investigation need a new path at all?
Well, the answer comes from what happened with the Grush leads.
Burleson took on criticism he
heard pretty often. People ask why.
If Grush worked for him, Burleson doesn't already know
everything Grush knows, and he walked through the limits.
Many of their conversations could
only happen inside of a SCIF,
which is a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility,
which is a secured room for classified discussions.
Inside, there are no notes and no records,
So names, dates, and details have to be carried out of memory alone.
Grush also left government with no documents.
He didn't take away the files the way Edward Snowden did.
What he could do was point the team in the right direction,
and the office has been writing letters
and following those trails ever since.
But the trail is old.
Grush's information dates back
to his government work roughly 10 years ago.
Some records are automatically deleted after seven years.
Unless someone puts a hold on them.
And then there are the people.
We hit a wall because people won't talk to us.
So they want to talk to David, but they won't come forward.
They do not want to be public.
They don't want to talk to a member of Congress.
But by and large, it made our operation.
More successful than we would have been otherwise,
because at the end of the day,
I came into it as a financial advisor and a software consultant.
I could have told you how to program an application
or which stocks to pick,
but I didn't have a clue how to navigate the intelligence community.
And so bringing in David was like jumpstarting the investigation.
That explains the timing of this new hire.
If the old sources will not speak to a member of Congress,
Burleson needs someone with different
connections or someone with firsthand knowledge of his own.
Burleson also gave a candid look at how much Grush changed his office.
And there was more news about Grush himself.
Burleson's office has kept Grush's security clearance active,
but they are still working to remove flags that were attached to it.
Now the administration is helping,
and when officials looked back at why those flags were placed there,
their conclusion was honestly pretty blunt.
When I talk to the administration, they're helping out with that,
because when they looked into it, they even acknowledged that when they
look back at why those flags were placed on his clearance, they...
Said it was clearly retaliation
because they feel like if that was if that was put on everybody
that went through his circumstances, basically having PTSD,
then there would be almost no one left with clearances.
Remember, there was a campaign in 2023
to paint Grush as mentally unstable.
Now, officials inside this administration are reportedly acknowledging
that the marks on his record were payback.
If the flags on Grush's clearance were retaliation,
should someone be held accountable for placing
them there?
Well, let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Burleson also shared new details from one of his site visits.
He has now been to two locations
and is preparing to visit three more soon.
One of them was Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio,
and the building tied to the
Old Hanger 18 and Blue Room stories were torn down.
But a sister building from the same.
time period is still standing and Burleson demanded to go inside.
It is basically condemned
and he had to wear protective gear when he went inside.
Because the building I went through
happened to have door it was called door 18
and there was a blue the whole the whole place was
painted blue inside.
There's a skiff within the building that was an entire section of
this building that's a skiff
and inside of that skiff there are vaulted rooms.
An entire section of that building is a skiff,
and inside it are vault rooms that look like
concrete cells. In one of them sat an old foosball table,
which he found a little comical,
but Burleson never expected to find alien remains there.
What he wanted was first-hand
context for the stories people have told about these sites for decades.
If you want these updates
every day, make sure to subscribe
and turn on notifications because new episodes come out at
And then Burleson explained exactly how he got
the MQ-9 Reaper drone footage he played at the
September 2025 hearing.
The video showing a Hellfire missile striking an orb off the coast
of Yemen. He compares it to a dead drop.
An anonymous person contacted him and sent him
a separate secure app.
And as soon as he downloaded the file, the account that sent it
vanished and the file had been scrubbed of any identifying data.
All he had left was the video
itself. Now we didn't know its classification level
and he was worried that it might have been
AI so he chose to play it under the speech
and debate clause which protects members of congress
for what they say in official proceedings.
His reasoning was that the public would likely
give him better answers than his own government.
He still wants to know why the military would fire one
of its most expensive missiles at a balloon
and why the object kept going after it was hit.
Burleson also named where he believes
the real resistance to the UAP Disclosure Act sits.
When he tries to attach it to a larger bill,
He can't find a single elected member
openly opposing it other than Mike.
Whenever, for example, I'm trying to get the UAP Disclosure Act
added as an amendment onto a bill,
I can't find a single elected person who
is openly defiant of it other than, say, Mike Turner, right?
But yet, it's not Mike Turner
killing it. It's the staff.
It's staff of not even of an individual member.
It's like committee staff.
He describes committee staff in Washington
as holding more power than some elected members.
Many of them, in his view, are aiming for future lobbying jobs.
And digging into defense contractors
who might hire them later doesn't help their careers.
He has even had staff leave his own office
because oversight work doesn't lead to those jobs.
When Timothy asked whether
an intelligence agency would find it easier to steer Congress
through politicians or staff, Burleson didn't even hesitate.
Through the staff was his answer.
Timothy added a claim from an unnamed friend
who worked at the Pentagon, who estimated
that only about 15 people there
are fully read in on the so-called legacy.
That is one person's estimate, and it's not a confirmed figure,
but it's interesting to say the least.
Berluscon's biggest worry is the public tuning out.
With more than 250 files and videos released,
he feels people are starting to just yawn about it.
Either way, a new hire with real access could
be what pulls attention back.
Who has been on Ross' show
and could take this investigation to a whole new level?
Drop your thoughts in the comments.
To understand why Burleson is so frustrated with the committee staff,
my earlier video covers the moment
his UAP Disclosure Act was discussed,
even brushed to the side
And it's actually pretty interesting to see
who is doing what behind the scenes.
So make sure to watch this video next.
I'm Christina Gomez, that is it for today.
I will see you again next time for another UFO News update.
Be safe and remember, keep your eyes on the skies.
